Jack White & Wife Have a Girl

White Stripes frontman Jack White and his wife, model Karen Elson, have had their first child.

The couple's daughter, Scarlett, was born Tuesday in Tennessee, where they recently bought a home, White's representative Chloe Walsh told the Associated Press.

White, 30, and Elson, 27, exchanged vows last June in the Brazilian city of Manaus. A small group of close friends watched the ceremony, which included Stripes manager Ian Montone as best man and Stripes drummer, Meg White, as maid of honor.

According to a posting on the band's Web site at the time, the nuptials took place "on the confluence of three rivers – the Rio Negro, the Solimones and the Amazon," and was officiated "by a traditional shaman priest on a canoe at the exact point where the three rivers met."

The couple started dating in 2004. Elson stars in the video for the White Stripes' song, "Blue Orchid."
