Jacquemus F/W 2022.23 Arles | the Fashion Spot

Jacquemus F/W 2022.23 Arles

I can't see what that fella above sees. I kind of really like it, especially the white outfits. I think its quite beautiful really.

Well he sure does know how to pick a location for his shows

if it wasn’t so heavily inspired in other designers I would say that it’s actually incredible.
but it reeks of Rick Owens, Yamamoto, Galliano, Rei…

Jacquemus darling you don’t work for Comme des Garçons anymore.

regardless, there are some incredible looks and the setting is spot on.
ugh the annoyance.

It's a good show. The location and music are top-notch. He knows how to pick a location.

As for the collection, it's decent. It reminded me of his earlier collection, the time when he does put some effort into design. I like the color palette. There are some great gowns, my favorites are look 16 and the last gown.
That being said I find the menswear doesn't add anything to the collection. And there are still some questionable constructed looks like the opening top, he wanted to be dramatic but it just looks bad on the model body. And look 32, what's that little white thing?

He tried to create some kind of "sensual" feeling out of this collection with the tulle and long train, but it didn't happen. It feels more gimmicky and unnecessary.

Prop to the models who walk with high heels tho, salt is not the best material for the runway.
It's kinda shady to put Lila in flats sandwiched between 2 models with heels tho.

This is the step in the right direction for him. Now he just needs to focus on improving his skills.

Too much going. Seriously, too many ideas smashed together in what I consider to be one of his better colour palettes of late.

If the clothes actually fit properly and were made in fabrics that would work better for the desired results it could have been better. That won't help the styling gimmicks, which are just dreadful. What makes them worse is that because of the poor construction and fit of so many pieces, I don't really know if some things are an attempt at a styling gimmick or if it was poorly made that way.

Hire a better fabric consultant or work with a different stylist or something!!!! Maybe even surround yourself with people that are willing to say no as opposed to yes all the time. Sometimes being told that something looks like sh*t to your face is actually more beneficial than one thinks.

I'm convinced why anybody, including, but not limited to, us TFSers, thought he was good (or borderline good, even) was because of the connection to CDG. If Rei supports it, then it must be good!

Yeah, well, remember when Rei was promoting Gosha Rubchinsky? Yeah, neither do I.
