mayle is good for chloe.
i dont know why everyone judges on the current mayle collection. obviously that will change once she gets hired and if... its not like roland mouret fits into the chloe criteria either, right?
Well, what is it about her that makes her good for this job?
Let us make an assesment of this:
1. she is a woman, the former two head designers were women
2. she does girly feminine clothes, the label is known for feminine clothes.
3.she seems to be well liked in the fashion industry, the last head designer (or two) was well liked in the industry
i dont know what elso to say, and i am being very fair to her.
let us look at the other factors.
1. by her own account, she has a problem meeting deadlines.
2. she has never had the experience of running a large company or doing a large collection
3. they already have an experienced and gifted designer on board
4. she will have to oversee
shoes ,
handbags
secondary lines,
ad campaigns
pre collections
resort collections
holiday collections
fashion shows
and whatever else there is that is required, also with her own store she answers to no one, with this job she becomes accountable to a boss who requires her to deliver and deliver consistently.
one might argue that she will have experienced people to help her get these things done, and i agree, but my question is,
If they are more knowledgable and experienced than she is,. why should they be working under her ?................
