It certainly looks like Versace might do something with her, she really works the clothes well...She seems perfect for a high-end fashion/beauty campaign. Not so much mass market, I can't see her fronting Revlon or something.

JANUARY JONES IS THE NEW FACE OF VERSACE
January Jones and Donatella Versace met last year, thanks to a shoot for ELLE.
The designer, a huge Mad Men fan, chose the star to model a few gowns in a particularly sexy, tousled editorial shot by Mariano Vivanco for our August 2009 issue. It was, apparently, the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Since then, Jones has sat front row at Versace’s runway shows, popped up at the house’s parties and even thrown charitable dinners alongside Donatella. Now she’s the face of the brand’s spring campaign. Last year, Jones told the designer, “I want to be in fashion. But I wouldn’t want to be the actress with a fashion line that other people design.”
So starring in someone else’s campaign, especially one as major as Versace, is the perfect way for the former model to kick start that transition. Plus, we bet she took home more than just a Swarovski-studded lighter after posting for Mario Testino.

Surely Mario Testino got the designer’s memo, as he photographed the actress for Versace’s new spring-summer 2011 ad campaign wearing nothing more than the brand’s accessories: bags, shoes, sunglasses and optical frames.

“I am always on the lookout for the next Versace blonde…and in January I feel I have found a perfect Versace woman for the 21st century,” said Versace. “She is chic and elegant but deeply sensual too.”

The black-and-white images were shot in London, and hair and makeup hark back to the Sixties — a reference to Jones’ role in “Mad Men.” — Luisa Zargani
