^_^ Me too! I loved them and spend whole summers in those plastic things :p

And ....... (almost too embarresed to admit :ninja: ) When I was about thirtheen, there was this short period where they were trendy again.....but this time with heels! I loved them so much and now I hardly even dare to think about how silly I must have looked  :innocent: They were pale blue transparent with glitters and a square chunky heel  :D :D

Edit* Oh my.I even found a picture of a simulair sandal

Haha!! Yeah, I remember when they made a come back - people were wearing them at my school!

I was so jealous

i used ot wear these too when i was little! god i loved them:heart: .

i remember those days splashing about in the water with them then you'd run up the beach get sand stuck to you feet while wearing them and end up with extremely exfoliated feet ouch!:( not so clever!

i still loved them tho thanks for reminding me of these marvelous shoes:flower:

worn, mine on the beach when i was about 4/5. that was very early 80s

I wore them as a little kid (mainly on the beach)...I just remembered how gross they felt with sand in them or with the Plastic wet... :yuk:

This Threat is somewhat traumatic...

omg i used to love mine! had a few pairs in different colours, i do also remember the 'chaffing' effect when there was both sand and water being rubbed around at the sole of ur foot...i remember one of my friends had the high heeled ones when i was little...but my mam didnt let me get them (she said i was tall enough for my age as it was)...and i was insanely jealous...but i just would pretend to my friend that i didnt like them anyways :ninja:

~Omg~ I LOVED my Jelly shoes when I was around 5 or so! I was so insainley obsessed with them. I had different ones (they were all glittery though) but the ones I remember the most were the glittery blue ones. I do remember my feet sliding around in them but I didn't even care. I Loved them!~ Thanks for reminding me of those:D

Astara I had different ones (they were all glittery though) but the ones I remember the most were the glittery blue ones. [/QUOTE said:
Ha ha! I`m still disapointed that, back then as a teenager, I didn`t get my braces in BLUE GLITTER!

I had some of these !!! With the heels, they were really bigg in the 1990' around 96ish I had clear ones with a heel and silver glitter in them. I wore them with lacey ruffley socks with my summer school dress and the school hat. I must of loooked so stupid lol

they made a come back last year in england they ahd them in topshop but they were completly flat with a top thong thing which then fastened around your ankle. ENver actually saw people wereing them just in shops

We can all agree one one thing, we were all very cool with our jellies back in the day lol

The backstage scene at Alexandre Herchcovitch?s first New York City show was chaotic, but not for the usual reasons—late-arriving hair and makeup teams, injury-inducing broken heels. There was little risk of the latter, since the Brazilian import had partnered with Rio-based shoe label Melissa to create a whimsical (and remarkably sturdy) jelly wedge. What no one had foreseen, though, was that the shoe in question would send Herchcovitch's models into quite such a frenzy: Several of the more brazen girls made off with two or three pairs in the postshow melee. In your case, there's no need for pilfering. The lust-inducing item is now in stock—though probably not for long—at New York?s downtown temple of cool, Opening Ceremony.

Jelly shoes had a "classier" comeback in Brazil about two years ago by the hands of Mr. Herchcovitch. Now they're everywhere in the shape of lovely, bright coloured pumps and flats. The wedge is a, let's say, "deluxe" edition of the jellies. I almost bought a pair of flats but again, I get blisters from wearing jelly shoes.

Ahhh, jelly shoes were the story of my life until I was about 10. Wow. Nostalgia....

I actually adore the ones he did with them, but I won't wear them now- well maybe in private to fancy my child side. :innocent:

I must admit, I bought loads of those Melissa shoes when I was in Brazil - whether I'll wear them out is another matter. They do make me smile though.

  we are too much alike. Try them on in private or wear them in places no one knows you. Actually nothing is wrong with them, but I feel like I should pass them on to my niece or future children.
