I love the colour of the gown, but I'm not sure about the bottom of the skirt. On Casta it looks good, cuz the bodice echoes the skirt. But the current modification makes it looks like two different gowns.

I suppose I like that she is taking slight risks with her gowns. The McQueen had a sheer skirt, even if the bodice was typical for her. Same with the lavender one -- the skirt is daring for her, even if top half the gown is safe.

I do like her casual outfits though.

Cannes: Nicole Kidman, Jessica Chastain to Chair AmFAR Gala

They'll join Diane Kruger and Dustin Hoffman among the hosts of the fundraiser.

Nicole Kidman, Jessica Chastain and Dustin Hoffman will be among the celebrities to serve as chairs of this year's AmFAR gala in Cannes.

They'll be joined by Diane Kruger, Milla Jovovich, Eva Longoria and Vanessa Redgrave.

Directors Pedro Almodovar and David Lynch are also on board, as is French editrix extraordinaire Carine Roitfeld. She'll organize the traditional fashion show as she has done in past years. This year’s theme will be "The Golden Age of Hollywood." which Roitfeld curates from the world's top designers and supermodels.

Kidman will be busy — she already has four projects screening in the official selection including Sofia Coppola's The Beguiled and Yorgos Lanthimos' The Killing of the Sacred Deer in competition, and John Cameron Mitchell's How to Talk to Girls at Parties and the second season of Jane Campion's Top of the Lake series screening out of competition.

Almodovar and Chastain will be doing double duty in addition to their jury roles for what is considered the festival's glitziest night with celebrities decamping from Cannes to the Hotel du Cap on the coast of Antibes.

The event is sponsored by Harry Winston and Bold Films.

The mega-gala involves a runway show, concert and auction to raise money for AIDS research. Last year's auction brought in $25 million, and the night traditionally boasts big ticket items such as Damien Hirst's gold-plated mammoth skeleton, which went for $11 million in 2014.

The celebrity host and musical guests have yet to be announced.

AmFAR will be held May 25.
