JESSICA Simpson and creamed spinach don't mix. When a waiter at Smith & Wollensky in South Beach accidentally dumped the piping-hot side dish on Simpson's dress Sunday night, some crew members from her MTV show "Newlyweds" laughed, as did a few steakhouse staffers who witnessed the mishap. But the joke was lost on Jessica's hubby, Nick Lachey. After the snickering waiters scurried down stairs, Lachey called over the eatery's manager and told her, "I want those [bleeps] to apologize to my wife!" The miffed Mr. Simpson later complained about the temperature of his filet mignon and finally refused to pay the bill, which also included the order of Jessica's pal, Jamie-Lynn DiScala. A restaurant mole tells us MTV eventually agreed to pick up the tab — and managed to capture the entire spinach saga on tape for use in a future episode.

haha

thats what you get for eating at smith & wollensky's miami franchise.
it's all about the boston market on alton road, any miami beach bum knows that!!

well i mean yeah it's funny but if it's 'piping hot' then it really could have burned her and they should have apologized instead of laughing.

Like it wasn't planned for the show....they just happended to be filming....yeah right
Nothing about that reality show is real

Agreed.

Hmm. Interesting. Okay, no, not really. Silly celebs, whether it's right or wrong. The drama!

verite

they submitted their life to MTV cameras. for money & infamy.
if the script said spill spinach, tough.
if their marriage breaks up, or if ashlee cries, it's their fault for selling themselves to MTV.
no more tears.

Nice entertainment, but they could at least have apologised, even if Jessica is dumb as hell.

Yeah, I think it was unkind that people laughed. I'm sure it wasn't nice from her POV.

Though I have to admit, I do want to see it in an episode...it might actually make the show more interesting!

In all seriousness... if you think an incident is funny wait until LATER to laugh.. like in the privacy of the kitchen or something.. you need to apologize for spilling something... especially if it's piping hot

Can't wait to see it either.....If I were there I would of been the one laughing the loudest...!

Why does everyone think this was all planned? Part of the reasons their lives and all reality tv shows are filmed is because stupid stuff happens in real life, like spilling hot food on people. Has anybody here had stuff spilled on them? I know I have including a cup of VERY hot coffee and let me tell you it wasn't pleasant. Things like this happen in real life too.

oh boo hoo....so its one dress...but if she knew how to wash her clothes it wouldnt be a big deal, she could WASH IT...then again she probably has like 1,00000000000000000000 other dresses so what's the big deal? and her husband is even more annoying. hothead.

i have to believe that this is all made up stuff for the show because i've never come across such feeble-brained celebs....they can't be that dumb.....
