I think I like it. I can't really decide and I don't know why. Maybe because the colors give me this really strong hippy vibe (oranges and browns) but the shapes don't realy represent that. But I love some of the dresses.

thanks for the topic space... :flower:

very fun collectioin...very witty and bright...

I really like it. Very fun colours. Everything is very "cute", almost.

While I wish we weren't going back to this hippie chic/handicraft business from only three years ago, I like it much better than the tired "ladylike" BS we had in New York. At least it's a little more interesting and fresh. Spring 2002 was a great season but I don't want to see peasant blouses and cargo pants around again so soon.

I like Jessica a lot and this collection is sweet. Very much in that same naive/child-like vein as Bernhard Willhelm. I like the patchwork quilt skirt.

Oh,this collection screams Jamaica! Which is where she's from.

Very loose shapes and crafty handwork that's always pretty evident in Jamaica,I would suspect. And COLOR!!

I agree that it has a striking naïvete one would see from BW. But Jamaica is notrious for being a bit playful, non?

i really don't like this-- too reminiscent of exactly the type of things i wore as a little little girl in the early 80s

She routinely designs for APC, softgrey. They currently have a "Madras" collection on their website, intended as a very easy, late summer collection of linen and cotton separates. She also deconstructed their classic army jacket in... spring 2002? I have one of them. The pockets are ripped, the seaming is exposed, there are cute little wooden buttons as decoration, as well as other personal touches. Very comfortable and chic, if I do say so myself.

this is their latest collection "children" by Jessica Ogden & Jean Touitou

as metal-on-metal said, she was involved as a guest designer in S/S 02, and customized the stuff.
