Jessie J

I actually am really enjoying her album. Just to put a different opinion out there, at least she's not singing about having sex in a club and getting drunk like everyone else is.

I find her message confusing too, like the contrast between the Price Tag lyrics/video and Do It Like A Dude...like talking about 'video hoes' and then always dressing/gyrating like one. I do find her talented and somewhat captivating (her performance on Graham Norton was good) but she could be marketed better. I do think there is a lack of substance in her music which is a shame since she's got more talent than a lot of stars.

.

Do It Like A Do was a corny and vulgar video but I have got a lot of time for people trying to make a statement about female empowerment.

Price Tag has a good message, I get it, but the lyrics are very expected and 'primary school.'

Her album is full of too many naff self-help songs and it doesn't really align with her image. So frustrating!

Pop/Hip Hop/R&B new singer. She´s like a mix between Gwen Stefani and Karen O B)
atm I´m more interested in her style than her music, anyone has more pics? ^_^

Thanks for these, kokobombon

Her album was disappointing but I'm still excited about her as an artist. She needs better songs and to resist the urge to oversing in her live performances. Since she hit it big they've been a bit too out of control - slightly scary even.

I like her style. I like her penchant for killer heels.

She's already an accomplished songwriter, having penned tracks for A-listers like Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears, and now Jessie J is debuting her own vocal talents in her inaugural album "Who You Are."

The vivacious 23-year-old told press of her latest project, "It's been an incredible few months. It feels like I've had 10 years [of a] career in one week. To be accepted and also understood as well, I think people are really getting my music and getting me. It's the best feeling ever."

The British songstress says she wants to send a strong message with her debut record and that is to love "Who You Are," revealing, "For me, I love being an influential role model, especially with young people who feel like they don't know who they are and aren't comfortable in their own skin. I've kind of had to fast-forward and go, 'I don't care if I look stupid.' You have to believe in yourself before anyone else can believe in you."

Jesse added of what music is for her, "I think, for me, empowering songs stand the test of time. They never get old. It's something you always need. Everyone needs a lift. I just hope that I can bring a little light to the world."

New video premiered yesterday!

Jessie J - Nobody's Perfect
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSZVYZTze74&feature=player_embedded

It's quite a good video. They had a much bigger budget this time and there are some nice make-up looks. Only beet I'm not keen on is the part where her eyebrows are bleached out and she's wearing a blonde wig. That angry face she keeps pulling looks a lot scarier when she's not wearing her signature strong make-up!

I was hoping they'd release Who You Are... this track doesn't grab me. Not yet anyway. I'll post some screenshots when I can be bothered.
