Jil Sander S/S 2017 Milan

This entire collection was sublime!! This show just bumped Bottega Veneta off my pedestal as the best show so far! Everything in this collection was so desirable - the textures, the volumes, the pinstripes, the colors, everything! That semi-pleated peach dress with the volumized sleeves is just the chicest thing I've seen all season (so far)!

Brava!

Can I just say though, Milan is killing it! I hope Paris continues the momentum!

Wow, this was truly ugly! Who gave permission to create such a unflattering silohuette, damn it looks worse than Vetements shapes! Nope, I loved last season but this looks like a piece of Issey Miyake carcrash 80s hell. Terrible!

Let´s see...urban version of Miyake Pleats Please mixed with Vêtements-esque 80s shoulders...ok, but where is Jil Sander here??

One of the best collection of this fashion week to me. I am in love with the quirky proportions.

How disappointing... Unfortunately if I were to see most of this collection without knowing the designer I would think of Vetements first. The leathers and plisse pieces were good, but the rest was pretty bad. The shorts throughout were horrible.

im all for expanding the vocabulary of this brand. but these type of clothes you can get at other brands, way better. This designer has no understanding of the Jil Sander brand at all.

This is fashion for the sake of fashion, no substance, completely empty. void.

When I realized the favorite look in the show is the guy with skinny white tee in the audience, it is a fail.

The shoulder statement is a good defining tool to build distance in relations. It seems bizarre that he thinks women these days need that much of weight to enforce the ownership. This point of view is more conservative than aggressive to be honest.

The corseted hourglass dress is fine though. I like the bulging yet smooth looking body silhouette, quite organic.

It's interesting to say the least. I like the play of texture and proportion with the dramatic shoulders, but it's a tricky look for many to pull off.

Worst show of MFW.

This guy used to be wonderful at Vionnet. He created some of my favorite pieces ever.
Now, this looks like a mistake or a joke that lasted too long.
This has nothing to do with Jil Sander! Instead of being focused on trends and silhouettes, he should be focused on the woman wearing those clothes.

As if it wasn't bad enough, the silhouettes are not that well executed. This is bad in every level: in terms of integrity AND creativity.

Minimalism is not for everybody and it's sure not for him. Stefano Pilati is still available!

agree 100% , some of the cutting looks awkward and badly executed .. this at Jil Sander , which used to be about precision and perfection of cut and shape , not some vapid fashion statement

Definitely some strong Demna references but I still love it. One of his best Jil Sander collections and it really emphasises a strong, sophisticated and artistic woman.

Thank you so much for posting everything, TheoG:flower::flower::flower:

the collection is a bit hit and miss, there are some interesting pieces (mainly dresses), but oftentimes it leaves you thinking how you'd alter/adjust the clothes yourself to make them look better....

It astounds me that people like Pilati, Alber Elbaz, and Frida Giannini are currently unemployed (at least to my knowledge). They were such fantastics designers, especially considering that they were still at their respective helms when the world was hit with the worst recession in recent history!
