"Jill Tracy Jacobs Biden (née Jacobs, formerly Stevenson; born June 3, 1951) is an American educator who was second lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. She is married to Joe Biden, the president-elect of the United States who is set to be inaugurated on January 20, 2021.

Born in Hammonton, New Jersey, she grew up in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. She married Joe Biden in 1977, becoming stepmother to Beau and Hunter, his two sons from his first marriage; their mother and baby sister had died in a car accident in 1972. Biden and her husband also have a daughter together, Ashley, born in 1981. She has a bachelor's degree and doctoral degree from the University of Delaware, as well as master's degrees from West Chester University and Villanova University. She taught English and reading in high schools for 13 years, and also taught adolescents with emotional disabilities at a psychiatric hospital.

From 1993 to 2008, Biden was an English and writing instructor at Delaware Technical & Community College. Since 2009, she has been a professor of English at Northern Virginia Community College and is thought to be the first second lady to hold a paying job while her husband was vice president. She is the founder of the Biden Breast Health Initiative non-profit organization, co-founder of the Book Buddies program, co-founder of the Biden Foundation, is active in Delaware Boots on the Ground, and is co-founder of Joining Forces with Michelle Obama." -- wikipedia.org

"Oscar de la Renta has long been a favorite among reigning First Ladies, and Dr Jill Biden's decision to wear the brand sees her joining the likes of Jackie Kennedy, Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, Nancy Reagan, and Hillary Clinton.

Before his death in October 2014, the designer personally dressed every First Lady from Jackie O to Mrs Obama, and for some, like Clinton and Reagan, he became a close friend and confidante.

De la Renta's role as a First Lady fashion favorite began in the 1960s when Jackie Kennedy Onassis wore a peach dress designed by the style star during an official visit to India with her husband, President John F. Kennedy."

She does have an interesting All American style, cant wait to see her style evolution in the white house.

 Please don't wear D&G, hope it was bought off the rack! They're awful, she needs to be a bit more mindful of her clothing choices going forward.

Not a big fan of her style because it's too cookie cutter and inoffensive. A very specific silhouette. But that ODLR dress looks great on her. And if she's able to whip up as much retail as Meghan and Kate, then great for American fashion.

I do like her as a personality!

I'm a sucker for purple, obviously, so I like this on principle. Also like the understated and ladylike silhouette and hem length. Clever play with different hues.

A winning look, imo.

That purple coat was just gorgeous.

Love that she went with bold, beautiful colors with marching gloves and masks. Very chic!

The pearls are such an interesting choice, the way it's styled.
I like the Brandon Maxwell on her, even with that hem, but not so much the Gabriela Hearst coat.
Really warming to her style with each post.

Ok, I'm starting to grow on the dress and boot combo. It's actually such a classic look that not a lot of women wear. Her age or younger.
