Jimmy Choo H&M Collaboration

They'll have gone for the shoes that they know will sell for sure, the average sizes. That probably explains why some sizes also come in half sizes, and some don't. They're just playing it safe.

These collections aren't really about making money directly from them. If you look at it logically, there aren't enough garments/pieces to sell to make a HUGE amount of money when you put it against something like say Kate Moss at Topshop. The amounts are smaller, much more limited, and only available in very few places.

The head of design said around the launch of the CDG collection that they raised the profile of the store. They increased revenue that way. Not from the sales of the designer collections alone. I suppose that's why they'll always give it such limited stores and only do certain sizes/quanities. It keeps it exclusive. CDG didn't sell all that well at all, it had the most stock left out of any of the collections so far, but it was a huge thing for them to have them do it for them. Raised their profile immensly.

It keeps the designers coming to them, wanting to do the collections, without knowing literally everyone could be walking around in their designs, devaluing their brand.

I think it's funny how they think people are not a size 41 shoe when that size is almost selling out immediately in all the stores i know it's so hard to find that size.

H&M are not gonna change their mind now when they've never even done size 41 in their main collections anyway and they've got along just fine..well i don't care anyway since their shoes are not leather so i don't want them

now that you mention it... it's true! H&M shoes for women also stop at size 40.

and gossiping, the whole collection is made of real leather.

i just really really wantt he flat black gladiators!! will try and leave during lunchhours and drive back to work like a speedy gonzalez

lunchhours? i think the most popular styles will be bought up like 2 hours after opening...

I was wondering when it's best to go. Do you plan to go very early before the stores even open? I'm not sure. I wouldn't mind getting up early but then I would have to stand in line in the cold for like one to two hours. Do you think it's worth it?

It's really up to you, and how much you think you want to own some Jimmy Choo's for under £100 I guess..

i'm still working on getting in for the event the night before.

if that fails, that just means i'll have to get up really early. ugh

Ha, how are you working on getting into the event? And in which country are you trying..?

I think a lot of ppl are going to try to get their hands on this collection..just because it's Jimmy Choo and everyone knows about that brand. Wonder which H&M store I'm going to tho..

of course the flats won't be available in italy:rolleyes:

i'm mainly interested in the bags anyway (esp the men's grey suede one ) but i also wanted the black studded ones. well, i'll save money for something more worthy lol

They're pony skin. I don't know if it's faux, or real. They've used nothing but real leather througout, so I'd imagine it could be real pony skin too. But either way, they're textured and not printed.

to me it is like any other collab! i DO want a couple of things but i won't go out of my way to get them. going to the store, is already going out of my way so if they have what i want GREAT, if they don't i won't cry about it ;)

I want those gladiators too Leyla. The H&M near me isn't getting the collection so I guess ebay is my only option if I wanted them that bad.

I never bother to go to any of the collaboration launches. It just all seems so useless. I always love a couple of things but it's never like I reaaaaaaaaally want it that bad that I'll stand in line or go to a crazy chaotic place and fight for it (thought it's different this time). If I can't get it online I'll get in on ebay or something. They seem to put them up for normal prices lately..

Well, pieces from the Roberto Cavalli collabo went for insanely high prices on ebay, at least here in Germany. And I refuse to pay the inflated prices.

I actually only want the ballet flats and I've never gone to any launch early in the morning to stand in line for an hour but then again I never got my hands on anything after the first day because everything flew off the racks in minutes.
