U cannot be EVERYONE'S cup of tea.....as great as Joan is, Im sure she still goes through a lot of rejection; just like every other model. Plus Im sure that her being in the CK ads was heavily influenced by Mert and Marcus. She got the Versace campaign, but randomly walks Versace shows.

^ Well she's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but she should have walked a few CK shows by now if you ask me. I'm more shocked that she's walked for brands like Chloe & Nina Ricci but not CK or Armani. She fits the strong/sultry shows more than she does the girly/youthful ones. Armani is the one I want her to walk. She'd be a great campaign girl for them.

ETA- I neeeeeeeed the Pucci campaign to come out! She better be in it!

I know it .But Francisco Costa really liked Lara Stone and Natalia Vodianova .2 of them were Ricardo Tisci favourite.Even Mariacarla Boscono I don't see why he don't like Joan Small, too.They came from Latin American.They was looking for American sucess story.
I don't think any member mention it.Joan Small and Mrs Christy Turlington have some similar feature (cheek bone and luscious lips).

White was big on the spring 2014 runways, and with his collection at ICB, Prabal Gurung was just one of many designers who opted in on the trend. But spring wouldn't be spring without a pop of color, and white looks especially clean and crisp against a multi-hued backdrop. This was the theme for ICB's spring ad campaign, which features ELLE cover girl Joan Smalls in the brand's minimalist designs, surrounded by the technicolor work of fluorescent light artist Dan Flavin. The art was also a nod to the holographic nature of other looks in the collection:

The collection is inspired by a fluorescent artist. Do you have a favorite artist?
I love Tracey Emin who also works with light and does amazing neon works.
Who do you think the ICB girl is?
Me! Someone who has fun with fashion and loves a sleek downtown look.
How do you describe your style?
I like to call my style “comfortable chic.” I like to mix and match runway pieces with jeans or flats for something easy but stylish.
I know you have walked in Prabal's shows for several seasons, what is it like working with him?
Working with Prabal is always incredible, he is a very talented designer and a friend. I am so glad we were able to work together on this, it was such a treat!
He has an amazing eye and I truly admire him.
When did you meet Prabal?
We have known each other for a while now and we have become great friends. Beyond being a unbelievable designer, Prabal is a great person who I consider one of my closest friends.

She's making so much $$$. Seriously so proud of Joan and of how far she has come

So far we have: Estee Lauder, Fendi, ICB & Woolsworths'. Hopefully she'll get a couple more big ones, but regardless of that I'm really happy she's making people in the industry realize that black models can sell products. A black girl being OG for a commercial campaign like ICB doesn't happen very often. She should be proud of herself!

I'm very disappointed. I'm not impressed by ICB. Wasn't even familiar with that brand in all honesty.

Thanks to Karl and Prabal otherwise this season would of been a disaster.
