Dean & Dan were on Mert Alas' instagram account the same day as Caroline & Joan. Caroline getting Dsquared2 wouldn't surprise me since she opened the show this season, but Joan has never even walked for them before. Stranger things have happened, but I hope she got the campaign. I have my fingers crossed for Tom Ford & Balmain, as well.

^I don't think it's an editorial. All the right people are there for it to be Dsqaured2 campaign: Mert & Marcus, Dean & Dan, Caroline (the show opener), & Giovanni Bianco (the creative art director of Dsquared2 campaigns for years).I checked the MDC database for Bianco's work, & he doesn't really do that much editorial stuff. He has 5x more campaign work than anything else, so I highly doubt this is a smaller job. I'm excited for the results!! Why would Dean & Dan be there if it wasn't for their campaign?

I hope she starts picking up more work in the summer. We know she is a part of some H&M campaign (either pre-fall, swim or summer) & she has another True Religion collection in the works. Hopefully we'll get some Vogue covers from her during that time. A fragrance campaign would be great, too.

Joan did really well sales wise on her OG ELLE Magazine cover. So what's the real problem?

Could it be that because Joan is Puerto Rican and of mixed-race, none white, some of these Editors in chief don't want any model of colour? Even if they are at top of the industry as supermodels or Not?

I don't know but I looked at Cara and Karlies vogue covers this year and they only have 1 so far. The Vogue Italia supplement cover was so good... I don't understand why it wasn't the main cover. I'm hoping they're coming and Joan will end the year cover after cover.

I find it hard to believe. I saw the Sept issue with Karlie and Cara didn't sell well, I give you that, but what about the others? ^

I need proof!!!
Or like some peoply say... show me the receipts?

I've heard of a lot Hollywood stars and models who don't sell well, yet They still get cover after cover.

And what about Naomi? She's Black and an Iconic Supermodel and Household name. Who still does major work in the industry.


What's the excuse for her not getting more of those major covers?
Women of colour have it rough! What about my Asian women of colour? What's the excuse there?
