The excuses for his behaviour is really mind-blowing - especially since the video is out there. I'm sorry, but when i'm drunk I don't say racist or anti-semitic things and no one I know does either. I appreciate that some people have those in jokes with their friends, but would they go up to someone they didn't know and say those things at length?
Making excuses for this kind of behaviour for one person continues to make it socially acceptable and I don't really see how making an apology will change anything. If those are deeply held beliefs, they don't change overnight. Racism, anti-semitism, homophobia - I personally have a zero tolerance for.
If he were to collaborate with Topshop it certainly wouldn't be unexpected as there would be a lot of press - I'm just not sure Galliano would think it was on his level. And even if it would get a lot of press I think Green realizes it's probably 'too soon' in the eyes of the general public. It could be something they pursue after his trial is finished.
