Just a day after news of their romance broke, Jude Law has already stepped out with new girlfriend Ruth Wilson.

The actors, who co-starred together in the London production of Anna Christie last year, have taken their new relationship Stateside.

The Sherlock Holmes star, 39, and Luther actress Wilson, 30, enjoyed a relaxing Sunday afternoon in Venice Beach yesterday.

Father-of-four Law showed off what could be a motto for his life 'Peace - create positive image' on the back of his zip-up cardigan.

And Wilson looked relaxed in a grey jumper over her black dress as she sipped on a bottle of Coca-Cola.

The Mail On Sunday's Katie Nicholl reported the news of their romance on Sunday.

The pair were spotted kissing at London's Groucho Club earlier this month.

They co-starred last year in Anna Christie at the Donmar Warehouse, but their friendship has only turned into something more recently.

An onlooker at the Groucho told the Mail On Sunday: 'They were quite enamoured with each other.

'They were very tactile and seemed an item. They were kissing, and not worried about who saw them.'

Last year, Wilson said of Law: '‘He instantly disarms you because he’s so generous and open.'

Wilson is thought to be Law's first serious girlfriend since he split from Sienna Miller in January 2011 after just over a year together.
