AAAh,
It is most interesting that i thought about you and this thread on my way home from church tonite.!!!!!

Lo and behold. I come home , check TFS and the thread is revived.

Hi Zam.....

Thanks for your email also....

I work with BLOW PR more on the visual side of the coin.... Website design, graphics, invitations etc.., as well as advising their designers & helping with their shows as & when needed. It's a pretty loose working relationship tho...

In my opinion,,,,,,,,,,
BLOW are an excellent independent agency, headed by Michael Oliveira-Salac, who is an excellent London fashion PR with great personal contacts and a fascinating background in PR/Magazine Editorial/Club Promotion spanning many years.
Fashion PR is full of wankers, but Michael's a very genuine & excitable person with an inside knowledge that is second to none, & he always gives starkly realistic advice to anyone considering showing in London.
I'd certainly recommend you contact him if you are seeking PR representation in London.

His contact details are:

On the t-shirt it has formed its own pocket. This is neat!

that's really great, finalfashion! well done to you for trying and doing a great piece....i think spontaneity sometimes brings out the best works

since i heard nothing of this label before, when i first looked at thre title i was like "julia roberts"? and i looked inside and saw these really interesting garments i was like "could julia roberts really produce all these?" i looked at the title second time: "oh, julian roberts."

Thanks Zazie and Scott =)

It is fun to just cut into something and not know how it will turn out. Sometimes it gives me ideas I will use in more premeditated pieces. I'm grateful to Julian for teaching me this technique, it helps me to loosen up a bit and just sew for the fun of it - I don't get all obsessive over achieving a perfect result because the result is completely unknown...

hey!

Well done Danielle!!!!,, looks really interesting.... such nice knees too!:smile:Ha:smile: Hope you are cool & happy & well.... here is a dress i cut today in about an hour at a cutting demo at the Royal College of Art in London......... this is probably the LAST TIME i will do a demo in person of my Subtraction Cutting techniques, so it was a bit of a special day,,,,,

SUPERSUPER SHOW at London Fashion Week

This season i brought together SuperSuper Magazine, BLOW PR and Vauxhall Fashion Scout, to showcase 5 designers at London Fashion Week, all pushing hard to do something new, energetic & progressive....
The 5 designers: Komakino (Italy), Thomas Sels (Belgium), Kling (Sweden), Elliot Atkinson (UK), and myself... aka Tunnel Technique (UK), all showed our clothes alongside singers, dj's & performers: Namalee, Niyi, Jodie Harsh, No Bra and The-O. The show/party was rammed to capacity with over 1000 guests, and a massive number who couldn't get in (for which i apologize profusely:SORRY!)
Watch out for an article in this weeks: UK Sunday Times STYLE Magazine.
High Resolution pics of this & other LFW shows can be downloaded directly from BLOW's picture desk.

Here's a pic of one of some of my garments worn by the beautiful&talented Namalee Bolle, SuperSuper Magazines super-co-founder:

...before i added (or rather subtracted?!?..) the Tunnel Technique.

Lastly, here's a link to some great videos of the SuperSuper Show currently showing on IQONS:

video 2

I'll be showing my next full collection at London Fashion Week in February 2008, and we'll also be assembling an even bigger&better SuperSuper Show collective - Part II !!!.......
...my next mass cutting collaboration will be with MA textiles students at the Royal College of Art in London this winter, and my next live Subtraction Cutting demo will be at the TEKO university in Denmark in January 2008.

BTW... I recently resigned as Professor of Fashion at the University of Hertfordshire, to escape the shackles of institutionalized fashion education and pursue other interests, so am now a very happy loose canon once more.....
^_^
Hope you are all cool...

Love & best... Julian X
