I just watched "The Kids are All Right" and Julianne was wonderful as usual; the 'marriage speech' she gave in front of the TV was so true. She was really different in this role, being the kind of "free bird" underachiever character seems unusual for her. Often she's the repressed perfectionist character like Benning was in this film. It's almost like they reversed their more typical roles. I think Annette Benning was good in her role too. It was a touching film.

I saw that film too while ago and i must say that Julianne was the best thing about it. Otherwise that film is little too... overrated.
Just my opinion.

Julianne Moore’s fashion allegiances are many — this is an actress who simultaneously endorses Bulgari and Talbots in advertising campaigns. On the red carpet, she’ll take risks, pairing a drapey Lanvin dress with a Dries Van Noten jacket, or wearing a drab and droopy Balenciaga dress (subtitled “Ballad of the Sad Neckline”) to the usually sunny Golden Globes. Designers in her court include Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein (who wooed Ms. Moore at a private dinner in September), Karl Lagerfeld (who got her to pose for his Pirelli calendar) and Tom Ford (who recruited Ms. Moore as a model for his ultra-fab women’s show).
