Edit: Johnny you can disregard my message to you below I just re-read your post and saw that you weren't mentioning those jeans posted a while back with the oversize waist and narrow bottoms, but indeed you described the jeans I saw as well.

Thanks for the pics, nqth. I really like that t-shirt with the oversize brown hand and the man in black.

Johnny: Hmm, those definitely aren't the jeans I saw...I'd imagine those would be even more expensive due to the more complex tailoring involved. The ones I saw were still Big E Levi's, could have been an LVC repro although I wouldn't see why Junya would do that, given there's already an LVC line. They were just basic straight leg raw denims, fabric was top notch and the half-selvedge detail was cool as I've never seen that in person (although I'm sure a lot of lower-end lines use this, it's just new to my eye)... the black leather cinch detail on the waist was so subtle I didn't notice it at first. I figured it would be like 2-300 USD tops then I saw the price and was totally floored ($1,590 something like that...the price is in Canadian dollars but that's still well over $1K USD).

Sure, I'll try my best to describe half selvedge...here's a picture, credits courtesy of Serge d Nimes' signature from superfuture, it's a personally taken picture (Serge, if you're reading this I hope you don't mind me borrowing the picture, as it's the best and only way I could really explain the concept)

The right half of the pic is an example of half-selvedge...I'm not versed on terms about weave and what not, but basically the selvedge part is the top with the white line, and the bottom where it's the yellow stitching instead of a clean white line is the non-selvedge part, hence the half and half. On the left half with the two clean white lines is full selvedge. That was a pretty elementary explanation, maybe someone who has a broader vocabulary on denim fabrics and weaves can explain in further detail.

Many thanks:-) It's very clear:-)))
It's quite "literal half" isn't it:-)

Reconstructed Jack Purcells: these are supposedly difficult to make - maybe that's why they're going for about 35,000 yen in Japan.
The top and bottom are dyed. The top is removed, turned inside out and reattached to the bottom. The dyed bottom is painted white again.

Thanks for the pics of the Jack Purcells....I am liking this collection more and more with the items I keep seeing. I tried on those Junya X Levi's yesterday, definitely gonna try to score a pair when I go to Tokyo...price points aside, this is one of the most wearable designer collections I've ever come across...I love the whole reconstructed vintage/workwear feel of it, probably my fav. men's collection of S/S 06...the jackets and pants are incredible.

thanks for the post:-)

sorry for ot. I saw some JW chucks at Guerrilla, the top is from nylon. bright color:-) red, yaloo, blue. Look nice.

thanks faust. like those bottom trousers actually.....

the lace up customised purcells are SO good!!

i'm specially feeling those purcells, they're amazing. and i love this junya watanabe collection, the jackets are great, simple but yet with many details that keeps it interesting.

Here are some more pictures of the inside-out Jack Purcells--they come in six colors. They are pretty tight on top supposedly because the material shinks during the dying process. An interesting thing is that nobody yet knows exactly what they will look like after they have undergone a long period of wear and tear--with the white stiches and heavy dying and painted bottoms.

^^thanks Damien. The shoe colours match the overdyed lacoste polo shirts. I have a pair of the shoes - they are very tight as you say. They are very "low" cut, hardly coming up from the borrom of the shoe at all. Not very comfortable actually.......But they are very nice to look at.

you are welcome, Johnny. Another pic from leform.ru

very cool...thanks for all the pics guys. Wish those Jacks are not that expensive...would love to get a pair

^Buckweat for info, the unlaced shoes are not nearly so expensive as the laced up ones, since they are much simpler. They are still not cheap mind you, but they come in at about £100 less.

Love this junya collection, really strong and highly wearable. I bought one of his workwear blazers and the detail is great.

^ I will agree with you John W, unfortunately i i got only the magenta JACK PURCELL , JW cuts doesnt fit me there are to large for me !! :(

i really like some of this.. the purcells are great.. but im quite shocked at the price.. 35000 yen? they probably cost $20 - 30 MAAAX to make.. and i maybe be wrong ..probably cheaper.. but still i might end up buying them.. if i someone stocks it here that is..
