Kaia Gerber

^ that’s actually a really, really bad idea, it’s WAY too early in her career to be doing something so big. Also, the only way these model/designer collaborations make any sense, is when they’ve been in the industry working around designers long enough to actually see how designing/the design process works. I mean sure she’s Cindy’s daughter so she’s grown up around fashion, but she’s only just started working with designers properly last season. I genuinely hope Karl x Kaia doesn’t happen, at least not for a few years.

People keep pointing to her age to say her modeling skills and looks will mature. That may be true, but there are other girls her age or abouts who actually already look like models (Kris G, Cara T, Dorelis Revel or whatever her name is). You look at them and you see models. Kaia is a pretty girl, no doubt, but I just don't see a model, and I don't know she ever will look like a model. But like I've said before, the industry already has fallen in love with her so nothing I say matters, I suppose.

I get what you're saying, HOWEVER, people mature at different rates/different times. The girls you mentioned, Cara T, Kris G, etc, got to where they are now because they "already look like models", Kaia got to where she is now because, as the (beautiful) daughter of Cindy Crawford, the fashion industry was LITERALLY waiting with bated breath for her to turn 16 and be old enough to model. I think she has EVERYTHING she needs to look like a bombshell woman, but she doesn't look like a woman yet, she looks like a girl.

I think I have an eye for this kind of thing, and in a couple of years, at least by age 19, she will look like a woman and no one will be questioning whether she should be a model or not.

Well I just read today she dropped out of high school and taking online courses and learning on airplanes. Cindy has ruined her life, so young, and already in too deep.

It's called homeschooling. It's been practiced for centuries.

lol yeah poor girl earning thousands of dollars to become a top model and still getting an education

Well she works full-time and goes to school part-time, another Kendall and Kylie in the making. Since she's 16 she should just take her GED (General Education Diploma) test and get it over with, why bother to be home schooled for the next 3 years, when she can met her educational requirements in 3 months.

Online schooling... Well, she doesn't need more right? Why bother with an education? Her family is stupidly rich, she's earn stupid amounts of money. The day she gets tired, she tries being an actress like Cara or a designer, marries a millionaire like all those insta-model-celebrities. No need for an education when you can be as basic as they come.

Why is everyone up in arms about homeschooling... half of Hollywood is homeschooled... it's not like she dropped out - honestly I can't see Cindy allowing that - both Cindy and Kaia seem intelligent, well thought out, and deliberate... they waited until she was 16 to launch her career when, realistically, she could have been working this whole time (ala gigi)...

I'm surprised she didn't get CK/Prada ad this season. She would have fitted those better than Versace.

I'm glad she didn't get many campaigns because if they were just throwing them at her then maybe she wouldn't feel the need to improve her print skills. She's fabulous on the runway but really needs to work on her posing.

^ Agreed! She looks perfect in that UK Vogue ed. I can't wait for the next few years; if this is Kaia in 2018, what will she be like in 2020, 2021, etc.?
