Karl designed a bear for the Japanese toy company BE@RBRICK and they produced more than a 1000 of this little CoCo Bear and put them everywhere in two of the Chanel stores (including the flagship)... but they are gonna be there for only two weeks... then to Japan and so on... not sure if they will 'travel' to the EU or American tho... i think it's quite a 'new' crossover/coperation whatever you call it but personaly i don't like them... but will take some time to visite them tho... :-)

by the way... i think they looked a bit like Micky Mouse...

Isn't he mocking the rich plump socialites who are his most loyal customers in Asia? :D

Quite impressive to see the ease he has to design anything, he just jolts it down on paper, and the proportions are quite nice.

kind of cute. but stupid, and the faces scare me
[this belongs in the "pointless designer accessories" thread:P]

please, this man needs to retire, his bear is a bad designed robot-minie mouse with influence from babushkas

his desparation for keeping-with-the-times is almost grotesque..
it seems he considers this 'art'

they remind me of a trashy version of 'more toys'

It's unflattering at all. I'll be pretty terrified if I see them. I hate high fashion brands having so-called crossover. Only street brands would do such kind of thing. I have no idea why Chanel would crossover with a toy company. That's cheap.

oh my god.. no matter how much I try to like them because they were designed by Karl and all, I just CANT!!! unforgivable karl, unforgivable..

i saw it at Central few days ago. i think it's cute. I remember Paris' Colette had this bear 2 months ago.

i'll scream... if i pass by that at nite...
btw... wat's wrong wif the cheeks !? it's like being punched

They have these in Soho, I was soo startled by these Mickey Mouse looking things...Really creepy in person. Like chic robots.

I saw these last night in the London boutique in Sloane Square, I quite like them.

They look like fat pudgy trannys equiped with pearl earings, oversized shades and horrendous makeup on a trip to Disneyland. Not good in my opinion.

ha ha ha ha seems that most people dislike them (well me as well) but i did go to the flagshio and had a look at them and they do really look scary...

eek! looks like it's been modelled after a fat lady with no taste

That is so not even cute. A bunch of them marching would make for a bad dream. ^_^

At least it was tweed.....
