Popular Catwalk Model Karolin Wolter Switches to Plus-Size Modeling

After three years of successful runway modeling, Wolter made the switch from Ford's editorial division to its plus-size board this week. The 20-year-old was once tipped to become the next big thing, with catwalk bookings for Marc Jacobs, Lanvin, and Yves Saint Laurent; she also starred in campaigns for Missoni and Gianfranco Ferre. But this is not the first time a model has made the shift. Crystal Renn, Robyn Lawley, and Alyona Osmanova all started their careers as straight-size models. Wolter's agent, Gary Dakin at Ford+, tell us she's "absolutely thrilled about the move."

Good luck to her career! It's interesting seeing another Jil Sander proposition (Alyona Osmanova switched to Ford+ some time ago as well) turn to plus-size modeling. Granted, I don't think she'll be bigger than a 6 or 8, but she'll hopefully be able to book campaigns like her stunning BMW advertisement.

^ Oh well her career had almost ended in HF anyhow.....which I never understood as she brought something else to the table.....but never mind.
If it means she gets more work, and there is a lot of money to be made in plus-size work, then great for her and also if she is happier being at a plus-size weight, the it's all good. Good luck to her.

I didn't mean it in a malicious way. I just don't always think polaroids show off a model's character well, but in these one I think her personality really shines through. If anything I agree with what you said!
