hmmm I somewhat disagree. Yes, rap is popular. Yes, it puts her in the public's eyes. But is it good for her image? Probably not. The rap world, whether you agree or not, is seen as an industry that promotes violence and demeans women. Let's be honest, when you think rap you don't really think "classy". Maybe you could say the rock industry is the same way, but today the rock industry is not viewed in the same negative light that the rap industry is.Zimdor said:Just wanted to chime in on Karolina (potentially) dating rappers. And the comments some parties have made about it "affecting her image".
Dating hip-hop stars is exactly no different than dating rock stars. Ever heard of a model doing that before?
In fact, with hip-hop becoming more important to young pop culture these days than rock generally is, I think its a good thing for her "public image" that she dates rappers. She will have the potential to appeal to many more young people outside those that follow the fashion scene by being seen with hip-hop stars.
That comment about "her being passed around..." was offensive. Ever think that she may be the one making the choices?
If you are a cultural conservative, yes, you may say "oh dear! she's dating rappers!". But wouldn't such a cultural conservative also say the same thing about her dating, say, someone like Deryck Whibley (Sum 41)?
(and those are my loaded questions for the day)

As for the comment about her being "passed around", whether it's true or not true, it does look that way, and it is not positive for her image.
lady grey said:others noticed the omission of any kk lovelife talk in the vf feature.
nati & carm were both described in terms of their high profile mates.
there may be an implicit racism in that omission, and kk was given the 'good girl' role as opposed to the drinking & cussing carm & nati. and euguenia's egotism and hana's naive-un-PC chat.
the question becomes WHO decided to 'white wash' kk? her agency? did peretz think mentioning hip hop stars would go against the good girl image she claimed in the article for kk?
anyone who's ever heard kk talk knows that shes a motormouth with a giddy & frivolous [even self absorbed] personality- something that peretz made no mention of, portraying her instead as the selfless good girl
lady grey said:no peretz talks all about carm's current bf, the german chess champ, and mentions she & nati travelling & drinking all 4 together...
it's an examination of her journalistic biases & asking why?
