The rap world, whether you agree or not, is seen as an industry that promotes violence and demeans women. Let's be honest, when you think rap you don't really think "classy". Maybe you could say the rock industry is the same way, but today the rock industry is not viewed in the same negative light that the rap industry is.
As for the comment about her being "passed around", whether it's true or not true, it does look that way, and it is not positive for her image.
What it boils down to: are the people she dating of good character, are nice to her and she enjoys dating them? If yes, there is nothing more for outsiders to be concerned about.
As to "class", people who use this term as a gauge of "who's best for her to date" are usually afflicted with what I like to call" The Crown Prince Of Luxembourg Syndrome" .
"Oooooh...she's dating that radical (world-renowned, critically acclaimed) left-wing political author who wears bandannas and overalls and associates with the underclass (who in fact is a real gentleman and treats her like a princess). I wish she would date instead the Crown Prince Of Luxembourg. I think it would be much better for her and her image".
"Oooooh...she's dating that (successful, critically acclaimed, world-renowned) rapper (who in fact is a real gentleman and treats her like a queen). I wish she would date instead the Crown Prince of Luxembourg. I think it would be much better for her and her image."
Its got nothing to do with "what's best for her" or "what's best for her image". Judgments like that are usually the view of certain people think that anyone famous who doesn't circulate in a certain social circle as either making a mistake not doing so or are lesser people for not doing so or not being able to do so.
Really, on what does someone base the judgment that dating hip-hop stars is "bad for her image"? Gallup polls? Asking Karolina personally? Or personal opinions clouded by the Crown Prince of Luxembourg Syndrome?

Rap is, however, a very controversial industry, thus making Karolina's association with it possibly detrimental to her image.
Heh. As to rap being "seen as an industry that promotes violence and demeans women", no, that is not the case in many cultural circles, except in the most conservative ones. No, not all rappers demean women and/or promote violence in their record lyrics. And yes, many rappers are great, decent people. Rap is very mainstream these days, despite what some may think (or want).
Again, what "public image" are you referring to? If she is dating someone that treats her like a princess (with respect and is a gentleman) and she enjoys the relationship, how can that possibly be detrimental to her "public image", except in Crown Prince Of Luxembourg Syndrome social circles?
Speaking of such circles, the "her being passed around..." image is, again, very offensive. Again I ask, ever consider that she could be the one making the dating choices? And would you say such a thing if she was associating with many different members of various European royal families? Unlikely.
And I'm speaking of all this as a middle-class white person who grew up in the suburbs.... If Karolina is dating a successful, popular person who is of good character, is nice to her and she enjoys dating them, I think it can only be good for her...both personally and "for her public image".
