I am so happy to see her in coats and scarves and boots again....
I am not too big a fan of her summer style.

I'm annoyed with Courtney Love for stepping on a fragile vintage dress.
(I know, I'm sure it wasn't intentional.) I sort of like it, but probably not on anyone else. According to Vogue UK, it's vintage Dior.

Kate did a great job of improvising though. Can you imagine being at a huge gala, getting your photo taken by tons of media and then having your dress rip? I would have died.

i have a hard time believing all that damage came from a simple mis-step on the part of courtney love...
come on...
kate looks like a mess....i doubt this is all courtney's fault...:innocent:..

Yes Adorefaith I agree. The other rips and tears seem to me that the material was very fragile and susceptible to stress from movement. They are all located at seams and areas of the dress where the fabric would be under stress, ie where the train meets the dress, under armpits on back and just under the buttons. I have had very old fabrics that I handled poorly; they basically disintegrated when I moved/folded too much. Its possible that Courtney could've stepped on the train, but the rest she surely did not do. I don't know when this dress was made but it looks really 30s. If its that old, I don't think anyone would dare wear it out to a party. But being that its Kate I'm sure she'll get more dresses, and anyway clothes are meant to be worn and lived in, you should get some joy out of them not just storing them away (unless you're a designer .

thaks laisla! I've been looking for an hq of her in that yellow dress for soo long!
also I agree with some that say that her dress looks better shorter...

that dress she wore was terrible, it had potential but wasnt quite right. It shouldnt have been worn by a blonde or with straight hair. She is a mess. So disappointed in the last two years.
