VIVIENNE WESTWOOD gave
Jamie Hince advice for his next album. The designer suggested that the musician wrote a diary of "things that interest" him, during a recent lunch with Hince and
Kate Moss in Paris.
"We met Kate and Jamie for lunch with also some of their friends," Westwood wrote in her Active Resistance blog. "Jamie has booked himself onto the Siberian Express, something he's always wanted to do. He'll work on his next songs. I said: 'Why don't you write a diary that week and write the things that interest you as you go along - past and present? You can include the diary in your next album and the songs will come. You won't be writing cold."
Westwood didn't confirm whether or not Hince agreed to take her up on her advice. The designer then continued to describe how Moss and Hince joined her for a fitting in her Paris showroom.
"Kate tries things on - this girl really has got style. Such an intimate rapport between the clothes and her body, she really knows how to use it and has so much energy," she wrote. "Talking. Never tired. It's good for Andreas [Kronthaler ,her husband], and me to see how the clothes fit on a woman who really understands clothes - we will adjust, make one or two changes."
And it sounds as though Hince enjoyed the showroom session as much as his model wife did.
"Jamie says: 'My idea of the perfect strip show is women getting dressed'," wrote Westwood.
