Kate dress sale flop

A vintage gown donated by Kate Moss to an online charity auction only fetched £620.
The Croydon-born supermodel wore the gold dress to the opening of the V&A Golden Age of Couture exhibition last year.
She famously ripped it during the course of the evening, and customised it on the spot, turning the full-length gown into a knee-length dress.
The auction, organised by celeb hairdresser James Brown for Cancer Research UK, raised more than £15,000.
It also included a dress worn by Streatham-born model Naomi Campbell.

^not surprising at all. You can't disregard the fact that this dress was originally ripped, it lost its sparkle when remade, I think. I wouldn't buy a dress of which 3/5 of it has been removed...just feels weird.
