If Kate Moss can make it here, she can make it anywhere.
But just in case, superstar Jennifer Lopez was on hand to give the launch of Sir Philip Green's first US Topshop store a helping hand.
J-Lo gave the event, a star-studded dinner on the eve of the public opening, the A-list seal of approval.
Welcome to the block: J-Lo greets Kate Moss at the launch of Topshop's flagship store in New York last night
Wearing a white strapless sheath which clung to her every curve, she certainly upstaged Kate who wore a tiered minidress with her favourite tuxedo jacket, black tights and heels.
The pair, who are not known to be friends kissed and greeted one another like old pals on the red carpet, and later posed up for photographs with Topshop owner Sir Philip Green.
Also in attendance was the grande dame of fashion Anna Wintour, Blondie star Debbie Harry and actress Rosario Dawson.

Kate was at the eagerly anticipated new store to meet invited guests and promote the launch of her new collection.
And for thousands of fashion lovers in the city this is the moment they have been waiting for.
When the doors of the 3,716-square-metre store open on Thursday, Moss' ninth collection will make its debut.
Some key pieces are feminine Liberty floral-print dresses, a deep-V black chiffon cocktail dress and 3/4-sleeve suede jackets.
Style stand-off: Kate wore one of her own designs, a flirty minidress, tuxedo jacket and YSL Tribute pumps, while J-Lo went for a scene-stealing white sheath
She will also attend the grand opening party on Thursday night.
Kate, 35, arrived in the afternoon to see the store for the first time wearing her favourite outfit from her new collection - a flared full-skirted dress which will retail for £60.
The striped dress took its inspiration from a vintage item that Kate picked up at an LA thrift store - but which didn't fit.
She teamed it with a black blazer and star brooch, black tights and black heels.

Kate arrived at the Topshop store in New York earlier in the day
With boyfriend Jamie Hince away on his world tour with The Kills, Kate brought Topshop owner Sir Philip Green's 17-year-old daughter Chloe as her date.
Last night Kate will show off the range to a carefully picked selection of invited guests.
But today the Broadway store will be open to all, with signs in the window advertising the grand opening.
Kate will appear as special guest, as the billionaire Arcadia group owner Sir Philip and his wife Lady Green throw open the doors of the flagship American store for the first time.
The four-storey shop, a similar design to the Oxford Street flagship in London, opens in New York’s SoHo neighborhood today after six months of construction delays, including fire and flooding.
Kate’s new fashion line for the brand, her ninth collection for Topshop, goes on sale globally the same day.
The New York store has 200 workers, 32 changing rooms, a DJ booth, and a shoe lounge.
And despite the opening being at a time of global belt-tightening, it has sparked a fever of anticipation within the city.
If the new Topshop proves a success Sir Philip plans to open a second store in Manhattan and eventually to expand to Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Boston.
