That you Yurman ad is just stunning
elleuk.comKate Moss is no longer designing for Topshop.
Of the many celebrity-meets-high street collaborations that have emerged over the last few years, Kate Moss' line for Topshop has arguably been the most successful. Her latest collection for the high street giant, her 14th, hits stores in October - but we hear that it will be her last full range.
Rumours have, of course, already started flying about the reasons that Kate has decided to step away from the partnership - poor sales of her offerings and jealousy over Green's daughter, Chloe, starting work at the family business are just two of the whispers that we've heard.
But Sir Phillip maintains that Kate simply has too many other projects on the go, telling the Sunday Times, 'Kate has done 14 collections with us. It has been fantastic for us and fantastic for her, but they take more and more time and she cannot do this full-time any more.'
To mark the final full collection Topshop will reproduce some of the most successful pieces from her first collection, and, going forward, there may be capsule collections on offer courtesy of the supermodel.
I'm devastated.
elleuk.comRenowned fashion photographer Corinne Day passed away this weekend.
Corinne Day, the photographer who propelled Kate Moss to model super stardom, sadly died on Friday. She had been battling a brain tumour for over ten years.
Day was responsible for the now legendary fashion spread in The Face that starred a 16 year old Kate Moss back in 1990. The shoot was the first of many that the duo worked on together and was arguably responsible for kick-starting the nineties trend for waif-like models.
Last year friends of Day auctioned some of her most iconic images, including some of Kate Moss, to raise money for her treatment, and the V&A was planning a retrospective of her work.
