Kate & Orlando over?

Belowen - do you know where that quote came from - about the "blue-blood" comment. I've heard that used when talking about Kate, and I half wonder if it came from her character or something she said. I can't recall quite where I heard it, but I hear it with Kate's name quite often.

on another note, though, I don't think Orlando cheated on her - it doesn't seem like his style...

It says in the Feb '04 "Elle" that in another interviewer she called herself blue blooded. The direct quote is: "I hate to say it, but I'm a blue blood"

HotSpot is right, it came from an Elle interview, and Kate later explained that she wasn't talking aout herself, she was talking about her character in Young Americans.

I never got a chance to see it, I think you can download episodes from the net somewhere, but I haven't had the oppertunity :flower:

^Was that show any good

It wasn't bad. It was only supposed to be a summer show, 8 eps or something like that, but it garnered quite a large fan following.

She explained later, in another interview I believe HotSpot :flower:

No, sorry I can't remember which interview it was... Possibly the Hollywood Life interview she did? Good Luck finding it ;)

orli

the tabloids have suggested that orli is persuing kirsten dunst quite diligently, with some success its said.
they shot a film together & will be embarking on promotion for it soon.
if I were kate I would be concerned about his wandering eye, especially with a hottie like dunst.

^Kate and Orlando are over, she doesn’t have to worry about his wondering eye (b/c he doesn't have one) b/c its no longer her worry b/c they are no longer a couple. Krisen and Orlando made Elizabethtown together directed by Cameron Crowe coming out in October 2005. Kristen and Orlando are just friends. B/c he was making the movie with her the tabloids started rumors that they were romantically involved, but they were just that, RUMORS. Orlando and Kate broke up months after filming the movie was over, by the way she has been in movies with really hot single guys, she has the same opportunity to have a wondering eye as him( not that either of them would) Kate isn't stupid and knows what she wants she went out with Orlando for nearly 2 years and they are still friends, b/c he is a NICE GUY and doesn’t have a wondering eye. B/C she doesn’t like men like that she has said. They broke up b/c of their schedules, they wouldn't see each other for weeks at a time, and thats no way to have a good relationship, in my opinion, LADY GRAY, your just kinda sexist and you need to get over that. By the way Orlando is working CONSTANTLY he wouldn't have time to cheat on anyone.

men

I do think the male libido is different from a woman's
I do think male actors, like rockstars, are more likely to give in to frivolous or groupie sex just for shallow ego gratification. :yuk:
a woman's emotional needs usually mitigate against her doing that same thing.
when you call me sexist what do you mean?
i do prefer women in almost all cases to men that's so.
and i do far prefer kate to orli, and to most women actually, i love kate. ;)
where is the sexism there? what do you mean im sexist? men & women are so so so different,. dont tell me that men & women have the same sexual psychologies, , its so so so different, read freud! :o

and there will be more speculation about kirsten & orli, shes very cute you know. I will report next time I read smthng new on them.

MZ Bloom is right, Kate and Orlando have split, she doesn't have to worry about what Orlando does now, or who the tabloids speculate he is with. Last time you brought this up Lady Grey you said you would come back and post names and information about that... Any luck?

on this site: http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0098378/bio in the quote it looks like she was talking about herself

Just butting in, because I used to watch Young Americans and I've read basically every Kate interview.

I'm almost 100% sure that she was talking about herself. I used to watch Young Americans, and her character was actually from the wrong side of the tracks, not blue-blood. Her father may have been blue-blood but we never found out because the show got cancelled way early.

And that quote didn't come from an Elle interview. It came from an interview much earlier than that - at the time when she was making Young Americans. The Elle interview did talk about her coming from a wealthy family and all that stuff, but that's not where that quote originated.

If you look at her quote, it's apparent that she was referring to herself ("I'd hate to say it, but I'm a blueblood. That's just the way I've been raised." Her character in Young Americans was NOT raised a blueblood. She was rotten poor and worked at a gas station)

What she said really isn't that bad.

ETA: Belowen, I never read anything where she cleared up that statement....and I read all of Kate's interviews. I would love to see the article if you find it - can't believe I missed one!
