The supermodel newbie Kati Nescher has only been on the modeling scene for about two years but has already graced the cover of Vogue, walked the runway for the likes of Alexander Wang (most recently on Saturday) and Christian Dior, and stars in advertising campaigns for Fendi and Max Mara this season. Here, T’s exclusive interview with the 29-year-old kicks off this season’s Model Diary series during New York Fashion Week. Today’s a busy one for the West Village-based mother of a 2-year old: she was already in Belstaff this morning and Donna Karan this afternoon, and will be in the Marc by Marc Jacobs show tonight at Lincoln Center.

What time do you usually get out of bed?

Around 6 a.m.

Do you have a special routine to prepare for Fashion Week?

Working and taking care of my son keeps me happy and smiling.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Manhattan?

I’m still discovering; there is so much variety in this town.

What shows are you in this season?

All my favorite designers I hope — fingers crossed!

What’s your go-to carryall bag?

Black (Alexander) McQueen.

Converse.

Describe your perfect day off.

Sleep and read.

How do you know you’ve made it?

Seeing people are happy with my work for them and allowing myself to appreciate that.
