What are the three items you always keep in your purse? A picture of my son, Theo, mobile, and an air miles/frequent flier credit card. Describe your style in five words: a blend of chic and easy, dark colors, comfortable, and elegant.
How were you discovered? My friends advised me to give modeling a try, and after reading an article about my agent, I called her. Most memorable modeling moment: Going to Vogue and meeting Anna Wintour in her office and walking the Jil Sander fall 2012 show. Most embarrassing modeling moment: I hope it’s still ahead! Inevitably there will be one. Favorite model of all time: Linda Evangelista. If you weren’t modeling, what would be your dream job? I would love to be an actress, as I like getting into character.
Favorite designer: Givenchy and Alexander McQueen. If you could trade closets with someone else, whose would you choose? Liv Tyler’s. What new addition to your wardrobe are you currently craving this season? Givenchy boots and a Jil Sander dress. What item in your closet do you most cherish? Why? A black bandage dress—it’s a perfect fit and can be easily dressed up or down. I always feel powerful when wearing it.
What nail polish color are you wearing? Clear. Beauty item you cannot live without: Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream. How do you stay in model shape? Any tricks of the trade? I have a two-and-a-half-year-old. Chasing him, picking him up, and carrying him around is quite the whole body workout! Not to mention good for the soul. What is the first website you go to in the morning? Gmail.com. What songs are on repeat on your iPod right now? “Blackbird” by the Beatles, Ann Peebles’s "How Strong is a Woman," and Lhasa de Sela's “El Desierto." What movie is at the top of your Netflix queue? Pulp Fiction. What’s on your Kindle/Nook /iBook shelf right now? The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Milan Kundera.
One place you always visit while in New York: Chelsea Piers. Seems like I’m always shooting there! Otherwise, the High Line park. Favorite destination you have traveled to so far: New York City. Where would you like to go on your next vacation? Mexico.
What is the best advice you’ve ever been given? Be strong. What quality is most attractive in a boyfriend/girlfriend? A great sense of humor. What quality do you most appreciate in a friend? Honesty. Name one natural talent you wish you had: I’d love to have great focus and concentration. Subject you could wax poetic about/something that fascinates you: Art! What are your words to live by? Never give up.
