Kati Nescher

Wow, I knew this girl was going to be big, but this big?
I hope for her sake that she won't be too overexposed so early in her career.

haha I love the alexander wang campaign. It would have been more awesome if they took that fishnet thing a bit further. :p

Such a chameleon. Unlike other new girls that explode into our faces, I appreciate her more because everything she's in looks so different from the last. (unlike the one-faced-arizona-muse)

Chanel, Nina Ricci, Tom Ford and Alexander Wang. Not bad huh?

^ i think basically because she has this clean, simple look; she fits any kind of aesthetics and designs (see the feminine Valentino, or the edgy, casual Alexander Wang)

^^ Hmm, for me she doesn't have nothing special. She isn't very beautiful like Natasha or she doesn't have that quelque chose like Freja, Stella, Saskia...she is just an normal model.

Who's next after Vogue US and China, Chanel and Tom Ford? An Vogue Paris cover?

^ i think that's the point, she's not a breathtaking beauty, she looks fresh and simple. (and there's some trend of dark hair+light skin, and relatively older models nowadays. Kati is 27, or something like that.)

I only like a couple of shots from that ed :( it's a shame, because I remember earlier in this thread, after the spring 2012 season, so many people here were raving about her strength on runway and in print. I do still love her, especially on the runway, but I just feel a bit disappointed in both her Vogue US and Vogue Paris editorials. sort of like wasted opportunities to shine

i think the french vogue is beautiful, and i love kati. if you have ever seen her in person, you would know why everyone wants to work with her.

Modeling is the way it is. Some girl just seems to have to right look at the right moment, I feel like their beauty isn't that important finally, they just seem to fit at a particular moment. I'm pretty sure if Natasha or Freja were new faces now they wouldn't have that much success, just like if Katie started modeling during the whole russian-thing, she probably won't have any success. This is how our world works, fashion world :flower:

Yeah, I think that right now mature models with dark hair and light eyes are in, like Aymeline. Kati came in the right time to make it big, but her look is very classical and I think even if she had come in the time the elfin look was in, she would still have gotten jobs.

I think shes big because she reminds me of the 90s girls; Shes confident, mature, has a great personality, aware of herself, and she is able to transform into different characters. She has done a spectrum of ad campaigns this season, and none of them look the same. She is on top for a reason
