My grandma died because she walked around barefoot all the time though, many many years ago before medicine could fix her problem. Her foot was cut and it became infected, and so on..

you can gurantee every friday and saterday night at some point .. alcohol induced of course i will walk around barefoot .. normally on way to find cab to go home .. im no good with heals lol .. i just walk on the main city streets which have loads of people wlaking on them so most of the rubbish gets pushed to the side and they are well lit so i can look out for glass etc.

If I am in my street I am always barefoot, and if I’m in Spain or somewhere I never wear anything on my feet. I don’t know maybe that makes me gross but I don’t think so. I would never go into town with no shoes on, except one boiling day in Newcastle I took my shoes off on monument and walked all the way to luckies (someone who knows the area knows the distance lol) barefoot.

anyways,i used to walk in nw york barefoot sometimes if i had an uncomfortable pair of shoes on (hey,not every1 in new york i 24/7 strotting c.bradhsaws),and now that i live in toronto i do even more of it since the city is so much cleaner .i dont see anythnig wrng with it.btw,kate moss just did it too,so suddenly it's even a tad bit stylish heheh

ewww you would never walk around a city barefoot! Think of the old pigeon poop, old gum and just dirt! Plus i bet not everyone is up on their tetanus booster shots so if you do accidently step on something, it could be painful! i never understand why not carry a pair of flip flops around, they weigh like 1 oz and could be tossed in any of the huge *** bags she lugs around.

My city isnt really that dirty ... ok some parts are horrid but the city centre isnt that bad ..and you oviously havent look hard enough there are loads of people drunk on a friday night in barefoot .. mainly women who have been crippled by there heals

I walk around bare foot around my road and patio and in my garden etc, but not around my town cos its very unclean in some parts and my feet are quite sensitive so it would probs hurt alot. but if keira wants to walk around bare foot who care its only dirt on her feet, its not like she eat with her feet or puts them in her mouth anyway

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. (I have no allergies and very rarely get sick. I have no disinfecting products in my household, only soap and windex i.e. glass cleaner. Correlation is not causation, of course.)

Perhaps because their hyper-vigilent upper middle class mothers who are willing to spend lots of $$ on products that do the same thing as soap and hot water can also afford good medical care? Or they're paranoid that their precious sweetie will be at a disadvantage in the college acceptance race if he misses too many days in the third grade?

How many places in America have you visited?

Today there was a terrible rainstorm at noon, and as I walked back to work I got soaked, including my wonderful sandals... I stayed barefoot at work for the rest of the day, and then I walked home barefoot. I'm still barefoot, and when I go to hang out with my neighbor in the garden tonight, I'm not putting on shoes.

And yes, I live in a city, albeit a small one.

OMG! That is terrible. She could get a lot of infections and diseases. That girl has so much money, she could just retire now and do nothing for the rest of her life and she can't even afford shoes.........
