Kim Jones - Designer, Creative Director of Dior Men

Don't even get me started on KAWS. The taste level of the people working at Dior is subterranean at this point. KAWS is not cool. It gives ageing millennial and not in a good way. You just know these clothes are for the old husbands of the women that shop at Dior and want to make their husbands hip. LOL.
This actually makes perfect sense. The woman who's tasteless enough to wear Chiuri would dress her husband in Kim Jones.

But I will cherish my Peter Doig x Dior collab pieces for sure.
One of the few which had an interest imho.

The first time felt a bit interesting but this is just embarrassing at this point and tells a story of not connecting with what’s happening.

KAWS hasn’t really been that “cool” lately and if you are solely interested in wearing KAWS then you can get the yearly Uniqlo collab (which btw isn’t selling as much as it used to). It’s time for him to go

Kaws hasn’t been cool since 2009. The bear bricks were the pinnacle of Kaws legitimacy as pop art….

KJ being at Fendi was criminal and one of LVMHs worst moves. He was not only technically unskilled but had no ideas. His lack of handbag ideas is highlighted by the last 3 Fendi releases being already existing bags. No new designs at all under KJ. Fendi was putting out like 5-6 new innovative bags a year under Karl….

And the Lazy Designer of the Year award goes to...Mr. Kim Jones!!!

He should be baby dior designer. Every month a new collaboration with famous cartoons series.
Please don't. I love what's Cordelia is doing at Baby Dior and Dior Maison. It's so very nice to look at. Kim should be doing nothing. Get some rest. Rejuvenate. Leave fashion for a while.

It’s a bit of a joke considering that even Nicolas Ghesquiere (who is dressing the First Lady) didn’t even get a decoration.

Yes, the Arnault probably cooked it with Rachida Dati. She loves Dior, non?.

I don’t think he deserves it but then again, John Galliano and Marc Jacobs all got their decorations. So giving the fact that Jones contributed to the « rayonnement de la France » through Dior and Louis Vuitton, it’s a fair game.

I would go as far as to question why fashion designers should receive such stately honors, unless their work has larger cultural significance than just profit for shareholders.

Kim Jones did not make himself a name with charity work, the preservation of french savoir faire or even owning a company in France. So what is that would merit him such honors from the french society?
