Knee/Thigh High Socks

I am in LOVE with the JPG and the Prada ones.... I can see myself wearing them with shorts in the summer....

oh that does sound sweet with shorts. I like them inspired by our very own lena, worn over opaque tights. though I prefer knee socks to knee highs, as they're ever so much warmer. they really pull together an outfit though and are the perfect substitute to boots.

If I was a lady and thinking about summer, I'd probably leave the socks alone and just rock with some mini socks or those cap-toe socks. To me, it would be a time to showcase my legs in something like shorts, capris, or maybe some split-leg pants.

Now, how are these socks different from stockings?

I love the prada and purple Celine ones, Gorgeous!
They look so pretty paired with shorts. Also with a tad longer skirts/dresses, as Prada did it.

its always two different textures, the opaque tights and the knee shocks on top.. you can always play with clours as well, eg. anthrachite or navy shocks over black tights
give it a try, you may love it kimkhuu B)

It sucks because I can't wear a lot of them because I have big calves from years of PE-but I like the look. I will probably wear some with denim shorts because that would be an interesting look.

I'm so glad this thread was started. I find the prada version most inspiring, the sort of sheer, loose 20's style. Definately something that inspired me from the s/s shows and definately something I will try and incorporate into my spring warddrobe. Knee-highs/knee-socks remind me very much of the sort of mid-90's but the sheer versions are perfection

Me too! Dunno how to get the Prada look though coz most stockings would be fitted and tight and even if they are loose and slouchy...how do they stay up? Baffling....

I'm all for knee highs...prefer below the knee than above the knee though....will have to experiment with both when spring comes!

update: I think they are just quite close to the leg....almost sort of stretchy so it's like you got tights that are just slightly too big for you which creates that sort of 'falling down effect'
