Well seeing the whole thing, as a fashion editorial I'm not sure I like it.......the clothes seem very secondary here. But, as a social statement it is fascinating and speaks volumes.
Kristen is as fascinating and superb as she ever has been and the headshot (in Tigertonio's avatar) is such an engrossing picture.
Hats off to Kristen & Meisel.

Awe inspiring work...proving yet again that the right model+phographer+magazine=sheer brilliance. This is fashion elevated to high art. Genius...truly genius. Now Meisel needs to reunite La McMenamy and La Evangelista to send us fashion lovers into the stratosphere. In the meantime i feel like framing every shot of this perfect fashion story.

I understand why someone would be offended by this editorial. Heck, I can't even decide for myself whether I am or not. But this is the Meisel I love! I missed his thought provoking and controversial work. It's what fashion photography should be.
