^if you're asking that because of what i said, maybe i exaggerated?... because honestly, i don't know whether it's really considered "iconic", i just used that word because it's a well known cover, it's chanel overload + kristen + meisel, and many people remembered it when the march issue of vogue paris came out... it was impossible not to actually, for those who knew kristen's cover.

I asked because of the march issue and that term being used when it the issue came out, Thanks for the clarification the new issue is simply genius.

OOO, you can imagine how happy I was...and I did not even know it in advance!!! Normally peopleknow who is doing a cover or editorial or campaign and this time it was a total surprise and I was like: could not believe my eyes!!! And knowing it was July 2009...wow, I was in heaven!!! Got 2 issues instantly and when I go back to Italy I will get at least 1 more!!!

I get the feeling that some of these images from this Miesel shoot will go down in fashion history...they are as powerful and iconic as any Avedon & Penn picture I can think of.

^^It blows my mind, really. And more than anything, it proves that the models of today lack so much, I can't think of a single girl (even the ones that I adore) who can have so much of an effect on the viewer. I haven't been this enthusiastic about a Vogue IT issue in quite some time, and I believe it's due to the generally poor performance given by the girls of today...but here...Kristen just puts every last model working today to shame.

well not exactly to shame, but she certanly nailed her Iconic status with this editorial and cover!!! I am her biggest fan, but I can not deny that some of the girls of today are also quite good! They are just too young...do not forget that Kristen has an amazing personality that she has been building for years while she was growing as a model. She was not giving the same performance when she was 18,although I adore her early work. The girls of today are just different! Almost none of them could find a job as a model in the early 80's. Kristen is one of the supers and we should not be so harsh to the new girls compairing them with such an ICON as Kristen
