Kristen Stewart

^^to be fair, Marion was styled a hell lot better than Kristen and she knows how to model :)

I think it´s pointless to compare Kristen with anyone else cause she lacks modeling and acting skills imo. It´s better to compare her with herself, does she look better in this ad than in other pictures she´s taken? that sorta thing...
This. Except she is paid to act and now model. And has been doing so for 10 years (her GAP modelling are even better than some of her more recent photoshoot..)Wonder how much her contract with Balanciaga is worth..

I don't know how she can go from the picture with Nicholas to that...

I just saw a better quality picture and unfortunatley she doesn't look good :( I really like how she looks in the dress but she looks like she has no life in her. When I read the WWD article this part had me excited:
“I find when you do a really good photo shoot, you’ve unlocked something that you didn’t necessarily know you had in you,” said Stewart. “There are qualities that certain clothes, or certain environments and certain people, bring to the surface that can be surprising. But that doesn’t mean that they’re not authentic.”

Also having Steven photograph her too for this first time but I can't believe this is what was produced. It's unfortunate because she has looked better in photoshoots but to me this is more important.

I thought that the pic with Nicholas was after the shoot or something... I was expecting her hair styled like in that pic :(

“We see this as a game-changer for the brand,” said Catherine Walsh, senior vice president of American Fragrances for Coty Prestige, speaking of Florabotanica.

She noted the current Balenciaga scent business was designed to appeal to 25- to 35-year-olds but is finding its sweet spot with the classic-loving, 35-plus market.

“Florabotanica targets a younger consumer — 18-year-olds and up,” continued Walsh. “They may not know Cristóbal Balenciaga, but they certainly know Nicolas Ghesquière. In the U.S., this is very much a fashion brand.”

She called the flower in the fragrance’s ad visual “not just a pretty flower, but a pretty dangerous flower. Nicolas’ vision is to twist and turn the heritage and make it something of today.”

Countrywide, the Florabotanica line will include 30-, 50- and 100-ml. eau de parfum sprays that are to retail for $65, $95 and $125, respectively. Ancillaries are to include a body lotion and shower gel.

Florabotanica will be carried in about 300 U.S. specialty store doors. After a one-month exclusive in September with Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman, the scent is to be rolled out in October to Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s.

In September, the fragrance will be introduced abroad in the U.K., Canada and France. The rollout will then include Italy, Russia and Spain in October, followed by Australia, Germany and the Benelux countries in November. Worldwide, Florabotanica will be carried in about 5,000 doors.

Same ! I loved the hair and the make up there and the attitude. But then I realise the perfume is girlie and cute. Not badass, huge stare and no smile... And the latter suits her best.. Seriously I am disappointed. I loooove the picture with Nicholas so much :(

That's the problem with Kristen. When she talks you feel like se is going to do something extraordinary (listen to all the interviews she does for her movies) and then you see the results and you ask yourself "where this life/passion/guts/involvement you talked so much about?"

Btw it was already posted Heather Anne :)

I like the pose.
I don´t get the hair & makeup... were they going for a lifeless feel? she looks like a melancholy corpse :(
but I have to admit that I like the melancholy in her eyes, don´t know if it fits the rest of the ad though.

I never thought I´ll be this disappointed, I though Meisel would make her look like never before but in a good way...

what in the world are they going for with that grimace or the non existence of one?

i like the styling a lot and i think the dress looks perfectly fine on her, but the hair and the dead serious look that with that make up is kinda morbid...

In this thread? I don't see it.

ETA: Ah, thanks, removed the part of the article that was posted. But the ads, were not.

I still can't believe that this is he final result for the campaign! bad pose, bad facial stare, body-neck-face-hair-ratio doesn't seem correct, baaaad photoshop! the fragance and the flower-background are /were shot with a totally different lightening and all - and Kristen seems in a paler shade - and : the height and positioning of her and the fragrance seems so mismatched! for me this is a total disaster

I know we´re all talking about the ad but I thought this was interesting and new (?) :)
I liked her tanned and blonde back in the "In the Land..." days.

Up next, actingwise, is a leading role in “Cali,” directed by Nick Cassavetes. She explained it’s about a couple “in the valley that gets involved with really strange people, really screw themselves over and become alienated, reinsert themselves into that world and try to survive. It’s really ‘Grindhouse’-y — extreme in every way.”

To physically prepare for the part, Stewart will become tan and make her hair blonde.

“I’m going to get into the best shape of my life,” she said. “I’m going to look like a stripper. I’m going to look like a p*rn star.”

and according to imdb.com, Snow White and the Huntsman 2 has been announced.

yup, the first thing that crossed my mind was "in the land" hair. should be interesting to see her transform in this direction. :)

I had such high hopes for the ad, but she looks about as dead and lifeless as they come in that ad =(

Still no pics of the dinner? or is that pic with Nicholas from that day?

The advert of the bottle on its own is probably a more effective advert than the one with Kristen. It's like they didn't know what to do with her so they just put everything but the kitchen sink in hers.

^ They generally rarely have official photos from those dinners for example the one Emma Watson had for Lancome only had a twitpic, same with Jessica Chastain for YSL.
