i think that the fact she's wearing t-shirts and jeans is making her popular atm with all the heels/tube skirt/sheer top celebs out there. plus the fact she's comfortable with it and knows when to sparkle in special occasion and has been pretty good at it.

I guess there has been an exception made for her. Most celebs on TFS are deemed "boring" when they dress down or don't even try. This is the first time I've seen someone lauded for wearing nothing but t-shirt, jeans and hoodies day in day out. It's obvious she has no interest in fashion whatsoever so the t-shirt jeans works for her, I guess.

Do people really fancy her "style" or is the fascination with her because she plays Bella? All she wears are t-shirts and jeans so I'm surprised she would be that popular on a fashion forum.

I personally love her style cause I can relate to it and cause she doesn´t follow any trends. A lot of celebs seem to copycat each other but I find Kristen´s clothes -and the way she styles them- very unique to her.
I like her "comfortable with an edge" style a lot better than the hippie chic or hobo chic that a lot of celebs made famous.
She owns a lot of cool items imo, like her leather hooded jackets, sneackers and tshirts. But maybe I´m biased because I collect tshirts and sneackers
I don´t care much for her as Bella though it would had taken longer for me to discover her, if it wasn´t for Twilight I would def notice her in a movie like The Runaways...

i think her popularity is definitely because of her being in twilight, that's why she has been noticed by so many people (not everyone obviously, but many, i think, including me, looked her up after twilight came out)
.. and i think the fascination with her is because 1. she's very pretty, but seems to genuinely not give a crap about what she looks like, which is unusual.. 2. she seems intelligent and has opinions and things to say, so her interviews are good to watch; she's interesting, she's not outspoken or attention-seeking, which makes people so much more interested in her.. 3. she acts in interesting films 4. she's really young and freshly famous, i think the interest will die down, it's party because she's so new to the celebrity world.
these reasons are all just my opinion.
i agree squizree, most likely the girls who read this have much better fashion sense than kristen! she has no style to speak of and it does seem a bit ridiculous that everyone is so besotted with her on a fashion forum when all she wears is jeans, t-shirts, zip-ups, trianers and at red carpet events, a fairly dull (in my opinion) minidress.. with a few exceptions of course.

i noticed her after into the wild, i thought she was such a natural beauty in that movie. then i looked her up and all that. but i like her because shes the anti-disney channel star. I personally can't stand those types of celebs because they just seem so... trained. I like kristen for being herself

its about popularity and not about fashion. I don't come on this thread for thinking she has any redeemable style worth emulating or admiring. I just like her as a young actress with some great potentials. Besides, Twilight movie was very popular with certain crowd, hence this thread and others.

I really like her style, personally I hate Bella so that's not even a factor for me

ATM she's being pretty basic, but I like that. There are no frills, or ridiculous pieces. She represents the basic teenager, and being her age it's cool to see someone my age in this business that is pretty accessible style wise. She also is a breath of fresh air in a sea of- Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdales, Mileys, etc. She is IMO gorgeous yet has substance.

What Im completely puzzled about is when people keep referring to "Kristen's Style". I dont get it, millions of girls wear the exact same outfits as her. Im not saying its ugly, in fact sometimes I adore the Rock n Roll look, but that look doesnt belong to Kristen. She's just a follower of the look.

We all follow a look, a designer, a brand, a trend, what we see in mags etc. The key is to make it your own and imo that´s what I call to have style. I also think that she cares about fashion, just not in a trendy way. She has said that she spends a lot of money on sneakers, I´m sure that if she´d spend that same amount on a trendy high heel shoe we wouldn´t have this discussion. I dont like the way Kate Moss dresses but I wouldn´t say she doesn´t have style because she dresses like a lot of people... just an example

I think Samantha Ronson and Kristen have almost the same style. Ronson always wears skinny jeans + sneakers + ray bans + t-shirts. The difference is that Ronson makes it look more boyish because of her hair (and odd facial expressions). But if you look below the neck, their outfits are very similar.

Everyone has a "style" whether it's good or bad. We all tend to gravitate towards certain clothing items repeatedly because they suit us in some way. Kristen just happens to like t-shirt and jeans which I find woefully unremarkable but it's her style nonetheless.

I think people call it that because she's one of the first mainstream ( she trust into the spotlight by Twilight) to wear it ( not saying she's the first in the public eye to do so). Plus everything Twilight is going to garner attention.
