She is stunning

the lace D&G is just too much...

I love that she's getting so much work this year. Any idea who shot the UK HB cover?
Iconic French beauty Laetitia Casta stars on one of two model covers for the October issue of Bazaar, with model of the moment Joan Smalls star of the other.
After spending almost 20 years inspiring fashion designers including Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent, French model turned actress Laetitia is set to take Hollywood by storm, with a new film role opposite Richard Gere.
The French beauty, currently on the judging panel of this year’s Venice Film Festival, spoke exclusively to Bazaar about her burgeoning film career, charming us with her enthusiasm for tragic film heroines (not to mention her modern day Brigitte Bardot looks).
“I love tragic romantic stories,” she confessed. “The heroines of Italian cinema: Monica Vitti and Anna Magnani. So curvaceous and passionate. These are the women that I love to play in fashion.”
Far from a quiet beauty, the model was chatty and fiercely passionate, and had us laughing at her humorous anecdotes from her shoot with Karl Lagerfeld’s famous pet cat, Choupette (“that cat has crazy eyes”) and her mother’s reaction to the news she would be starring alongside Richard Gere (“I was like, ‘Please Mum, don’t shout.’”)
Accompanying the revealing interview is a stylish shoot shot by photographer Sebastian Faena on location in Paris. Laetitia is cast as one of the sexy, romantic heroines she admires, wearing autumn/winter 12’s prettiest dresses from Jil Sander and Alexander McQueen.
The second most successful model in the world, Joan Smalls, stars in the second of our October covers. The 24-year-old Puerto Rican sat down with US Bazaar’s Derek Blasberg to talk about how she launched her career, from meeting every casting director in New York, to captivating the imagination of Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci.

" So we are shooting on this balcony in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and I was so f*****g scared that Choupette would step back and fall off and that Karl would hate me forever because I killed his cat. The cat was like, “maaaiooowarrgh” and I was like, “gasp”. I did everything with that cat. We even shot on the bed. The whole thing was about Choupette. And she has two nannies … It was a weird job, when I think about it."
