which do you like better- the red or the off white in the heaven?..... :flower:

i'm thinking red because i have a couple of white bags...but those are white white and have silver hardware...very different feel...
but the red just might be sexier... B) i wear a lot of black...
what do you think...
the white! :flower:

:woot: love the Heaven one, both in ecru and in this darkish gold (which would make it big for next winter as well)
but i can't see the red Heaven here

the Hollywood is not my style, Heroine is also cute.

thanks so much for the photos guys,
quite a good investment for those that will get them
as they are quite 'classic' and not the average IT bags :flower:

i know ...there is no picture of it on the website...it's the same shade of red as the hollywood except in leather...

i guess i just watched lost in translation and i've got that red mj bag in my head...also when i was growing up...my very chic mom used to get herself a new red bag every spring...there's something very appealing about it...bright and cheerful...

but i agree that the ecru is timeless and elegant...

i'm going to have to go back to barneys and have another look

don't think i'd go for the metallic, just because the chain and the leather are too similar in colour and that bugs me...and i already have a couple of metallic bags...

thanks you guys...for posting pics and for giving your thoughts... :flower:

 The Hollywood is just to divine,  hevane is also gorgeous.

thank you for posting

oh never mind I got it :P

the "Heroine" bag
this one is quoted 690 EUROS!!

and there is another one which is SHINY leather in black: 300 EUROS!

would it be cheaper if i bought it in london?... :o

oh banana...i promise they are MUCH better in person...believe me...this is taking extra self-control on my part...this is definitely the new 'IT' bag among fashion insiders... :flower:

I definately like the hardware.... especially the cute little coin on the chain. I never get to see any of this stuff in person :( . No designer shops where I live and I only see LV bags being carried around here. I can't even tell if they are fake or not (apart from the really obvious ones).

i can't tell either...and i don't really care... :woot: ;)

I care, only because I know how much the real ones cost and I am curious to know how many rich people live around here.

i'm resurrecting this topic because i *really* want to get the Heroine bag from barneys.com (Plumour posted it on page 1). they have tawny brown, black and burgundy, which is one i think i want.

did anyone get one of these (or any lanvin bags)? i wanna hear your opinions!!

thx :flower:

Hi, I know how you feel. I was so tempted to get one when I was in Barneys NYC a few months ago, although I prefer a different style, "Happy" in cream leather.

If you get the Hero bag, I suggest the tawny brown leather. It looks great and worn in.

I ended up not getting one though (bought Balenciaga instead!), cuz there was just something about it that I didn't quite like -- it was too flat and long, in my opinion. Much larger than I expected. The leather was OK, nothing spectacular. Definitely not the softest I have felt... It does seem that it would be scratch-resistant though. I suggest seeing them in person first before you make the big purchase. You have to see it's size against your body, and decide whether you like it or not. Good luck!

i agree...i decided against it after all because i am petite with a small frame...and i thought the bag was out of proportion to my body...too wide...and i didn't like the other styles as much...

as far as the softness of the leather...i don't think it's supposed to be ...first it would scratch easily if it was...and second...that would be a totally different look...and the thing about lanvin is that it's a bit rough around the edges...which is what makes it so cool...either you like that or you don't...if you don't...then get a chanel... :flower:

then i changed the strap on a vintage bag i had to a brass chain...and i use that one now...i'm very happy with it because it's beautiful...and also unique...

I love that white Heaven Lanvin bag..I saw it again recently in a magazine and fell in love

It reminds me of my vintage Dior bag thats white and rectangular. It looks similar to the Lanvin because of the chain strap which I tuck in to use as a clutch, but the clasp is different.
