Lanvin Hero bag

Hello! I was wondering if any of you ladies who own the grain leather Lanvin Hero bag (with the brown top handle) have had any issues with the handle or the clasp? Does your clasp ever get stuck or does the brown top handle have issues when you put too much stuff in your handbag? I was debating between the grain leather Hero in black (like on www.barneys.com) or this new version of the Hero in black... I think it's from the resort or early spring collection? What's more classic? Any thoughts? Would love your help! Thank you!

^ i have the heroine in black (basically a smaller version and does not have two zipped pockets in front). ive never had any prob with the clasp - i guess its not the easiest to open and shut like a turnlock or something, but never had it stuck or anything. as for the handle, i dont know if uve seen the hero or the heroine in person, but since the bag is so thin, if u put a lot of stuff in it and try to carry with handle, either side of the leather flap will slightly elevate, if you know what i mean. i usually carry it by the shoulder strap or tuck it under my arm so as to avoid this from happening. all in all a great basic bag to have in your collection. let me know if i can answer any other questions!

igotgoodjeans... Thanks so much for your help! I decided to go with the newer version of the hero (with just the silver chain handle) in black. I just received it today and it's beautiful! Lanvin makes gorgeous purses...

My turquoise heroine bag has had problems. I sent the bag back in the summer for the clasp. It was pulling away from the bag. Now, one of the little bars has come off the handle where it attaches to the bag. I'm going to have to send it back again. Thank goodness Bob Ellis Shoes has a good policy regarding that.

I haven't had a chance to take any photos of my new Hero bag, but I just noticed today that Barneys posted the new Lanvin bags on it's website! Here is the picture from barneys.com! So far, I haven't had any issues with the handles or the turnlock clasp...

Thanks guys! I'm over the moon, and just wore it yesterday. I hope Lanvin continues the Hero and Heroine styles for next year.

i was at barneys in sf today, and they had a really nice brown hero bag...
it's not on the website though...

just bought this one, it's called opera, but in black not brown. not sure about it, it was on sale but i loved the hero in black with brown trim...

thanks, but i'm still on the fence about it, i might take it back-- though i love it, i'm more on the fence about the price, though it was on sale, it's still too much since i just paid off my cards!
