That's a bit surprising. For example, in my country if any of our model gets a little success, every magazine & people talk about her, she is invited in every major talk-show and so on.
And the gorgeous girl who has at least one editorial in every month in world's major fashion magazines, gracing the most important covers and for ex : has the own VP issue dedicated to her, isn't well-known in her country.
If she was from my country, she would be one of the most popular persons among our celebrities.

I second this. In our country, someone winning the slightest international event or getting the oddest international recognition is celebrated by the media. It's odd Lara isn't known that much... Well her face isn't what most people would say "beautiful", I have to admit.. But she has that interesting beauty though.
