oops - sorry! hard to find stuff on this girl! but here is her last article she wrote as beauty editor of the UK Telegraph a couple of years ago naming a few of her beauty faves.
So, it's time to say goodbye to Planet Beauty. This is my last column. From now on I will be writing about world politics and rocket science. Just kidding. I'm blonde and I've heard all the jokes - but it is time to move on and hand over the reins.
First, having never been able to answer the letters I have been sent over the past year, here's my last-ditch (and somewhat random) attempt to answer the most commonly asked questions.
My favourite scent? I've lived in a cloud of Chanel No 19 for years. It's my drug of choice. Prices start at £32 (020 7493 3836).
The best concealer? Yves St Laurent's Touche Eclat - what else? I've never found anything to better it. £20 (01444 255700).
The best mascara? Lancome Amplicils. Gives you gazelle-like eyes and never clogs. £15.50 (020 8762 4089).
The best foundation? Becca Luminous Skin Colour. Does what it says. £26. From Space NK (020 7299 4999).
The best blush? Nars Blush, in Orgasm (£16.50), or Nars The Multiple (£26). From Space NK as above, and Liberty (020 7734 1234).
The best lipgloss? Kiehls. I prefer "goldenberry" for blondes like me. £10.50 (020 7836 5959). Also check out Lancôme's Juicy Tubes. £11. Stockists as before.
The best skincare? Laboratoire Remede's Complete Treatment moisturiser is unbeatable. £72; available from Bliss London (0808 100 4151). And though you think you might need to take out a mortgage to buy it, Crème de la Mer is the business. £75 (01730 232566).
The best place for bargain-hunting? The Body Shop and Superdrug.
The best beauty shop? I can count the number of weeks I have not written about Space NK on the fingers of one hand. It's unbeatable. Space NK Go to www.spacenk.co.uk for your nearest branch.
The best suncare? Helena Rubinstein comes into her own here, especially with her Golden Defense Sea Protection For Face (SPF 30), £18, and her Sea Protection For Body (SPF 15) lotion or spray, £18. (01727 799254).
The best spa? Bliss London lives up to its name. This is a seriously sensuous and relaxing place, ideal for a special occasion (020 7584 3888).
The best at home spa service? D-Stress Direct. If I won the Lottery, I'd take out a standing order. From £60 an hour (020 7727 0490).
The best way to achieve a natural healthy glow? Laughter, love, sex, sport, fine wine, tropical holidays, good food, good friends. I could go on. Oh, occasionally, make-up helps.
Having told you what to buy, I'm not now telling you to throw it all away, but we all know the best beauty booster is confidence, and no amount of powder and paint can fake that. I've virtually stopped wearing make-up except when I'm paid to at work.
I hope I leave you in more glamorous hands. I'm off to see a little more of the world, and tell a few stories in words and pictures en route. I want to scuba-dive in the Maldives, stand on my head in Sri Lanka, climb Kilamanjaro, drive across America. I'll be travelling light, but I'm sure there'll be the odd eyeliner or lipstick floating around in my luggage among the cameras and survival gear.
