I'm not that sure if I like it that much, I can't stand leather pants and I don't like leather coats that much, a short jacket can look good though

True about the 80's, softie... Although we've seen a lot of leather during the seasons, there really is a leather (and fur!) explosion on the runways.

I've always lusted after leather pants myself, but they're so hard to pull off... I can't really wear shiny leather pants, so they'd have to be very matte nubuck or something for me. I should've shopped for some when I was living in Munich...

leather trousers are disgusting imo sorry, but i like the cropped leather jackets we're seeing at the moment, goes really nicely with a duffel bag, stripey top and black skinny jeans

I like leather jackets ( I'm planning to buy one in brown ), but I didn't like the leather on the Dior show, I think that type of leather looks too

I can't decide whether this is a real 80's/90's throwback look or whether leather has been revamped in an appealing way. I think the leather trenches and coats look great especially the ones that look like they should be made out of tweed/wool - it's very fresh and surprising.

^ Agreed, the new version of leather is much more polished.... I like the new glossy finish....

And on a side note, I CAN'T stand the smell of real leather. It's just nauseating...

I think the black leather 'pouf' sleeved jacket at the bottom is rather beautiful...but a couple of them just look like someone who has bought some leather and has decided to carry it draped over their shoulders or something, they look quite odd.
I've noticed alot of leather on the catwalks recently too...I really think it ties in with this much stronger, edgier, urbanite woman style thats coming through at the moment.

the 'trendy monster' bit made me laugh out loud soft.
