What are your thoughts on the Miami Vice fashion of the 80's ?

LOL, wow, I really miss the reruns! Cool series, I don't know if this is true or not, but I remember reading somewhere that Gianni Versace created the 'look', does anyone know for sure? It should stay buried - it was so tacky it was painful. But it served it's purpose, I guess, it helped accent the characters.

I would have to totally disagree with you. I think that the white and beige blazer look with the pastel undershirts are one of the coolest looks of the 20th century.

I saw it I did! It was a guy in a silk d/b suit with a baroque silk shirt and baroque tie. Very Versace.

hey...whatever floats your boat...but i hate it and i'm entitled to my opinion...
all those pastels with no socks ...i hated everything about that show...including the theme song...which i can still hear in my head...

i also hated moonlighting...
mostly because of cybil shepard's HUGE shoulder pads..and annoying hairstyle...

Had to check up on Versace, and yes, he designed for Miami Vice, here are two links. I still don't really like the clothes they wore and think they were mainly designed to support the characters being played.

those shoulder pads were off the chains

I hate that Miami Vice look, it's not the same as me wearing pastels all over, but I normally wear cropped pants w/ a polo and greek sandals ...I just hate it

those boys were such fashion disasters. My favorite part was how everyone thought it was cool...

It could be a good Halloween costume though.
