It's kind of backwards with Avril and who is that Katy you are talking about?
I'm not saying it's not ok that Lily is changing, all I'm saying is that I liked her better back in the day and I'm not all that happy with the way she "grew up". What's wrong with that?But I still think that this whole Chanel-stuff seems fake for her but whatever.
I was referring to Katy Perry and her penchant for baby rompers, and yeah Avril has pretty much regressed but it's still my point of her not dressing her age.
I can see where you're coming from in terms of her not necessarily being comfortable in the whole fashionista role - I think when she puts in an effort at certain events she does have a good sense of personal style, but she certainly doesn't care enough to maintain the facade of someone seriously interested in fashion on an everyday basis, which is probably a good thing but it's also why she gets a lot of (unnecessary, imo) flack for the Chanel campaign. And she experiments a lot with her onstage gear now days which while its produced some absolutely horrible outfits, there have been some really cute ones too.
What I meant in my earlier comment is that not only is she too old for the way she used to dress, but she's admitted that it was also a reflection of how unhappy she was with her own body at the time. She said she used to wear long dresses to hide her stomach and calves which she hated. I'm genuinely happy for her that she seems a lot more comfortable in her own skin these days - I don't know why people seem to be so upset about the fact that she's lost weight because she's not even close to anorexic, she looks completely normal and healthy and happy. If a part of her being comfortable with herself now is experimenting with fashion both onstage and elsewhere then I don't see it as too bad a thing at all, and she doesn't really need to do it to keep people's attention like some other popstars. Sorry for the very long ramble but that's how I see it.

It would indeed be strange if she still looked like she did at the beginning of her career and I can understand that she was insecure about herself being thrown into the spotlight like that. I'm really not upset she got fit what I'm upset about is the gap between the things she does and the things she says. I always loved that she spoke her mind without being a hycrite. I can't even explain that probably, it's a feeling I have.

If these photos look as if Lily Allen's head is hurting, there could be a reason.
She had been busy partying hard at the Q Awards, then at a celebrity filled after party.
But by 12.30am the singer looked ready for bed as her minder led her back to her car.

Bleary eyed, she then held her head in her hands as photographers snapped away.
Earlier in the evening the 24-year-old had been on fine form as she partied with her new friend, American singer Ke$ha Serbert.
Ke$ha entertained Lily by urinating in a sink, after refusing to wait in the queue to use the lavatory.
A laughing Lily told her: 'Now even I couldn't do that. Oh my God.'

The scene was witnessed by dozens of music industry insiders.
Lily, who won the Best Song award for her track The Fear, then continued the party with Kasabian at the Home House private members club.
She swapped her earlier outfit of bejewelled white shift and leggings for an all-black ensemble.
And it seemed her costume change went down well with boyfriend Sam Cooper.
The couple were spotted in the doorway of the club enjoying a long clinch.

Maybe Lily Allen had got dressed in a hurry. But it seems that she forgot to wear part of her outfit as she took to the stage in Milan last night.
The singer appears to be keen to show off her growing collection of racy hosiery, and seems particularly taken with this pair.
So much so, that she took the opportunity to reveal as much as possible of the detail, by wearing what looked like the briefest of skirts.
But in fact, it was a 'skort' - a cross between a skirt and a pair of shorts, which barely protected the singer's modesty.

Lily, 24, has previously been seen in the two-tone tights, which feature a suspenders motif embroidered in the pattern on a night out at London's Groucho Club with boyfriend, decorator Sam Cooper.
But last night, she wore the tights with the briefest of attire which revealed the scalloped edge of the tights gusset.
The designer legwear, which costs £42 from chic French lingerie label Chantal Thomass, plays on the trend for clothes printed with optical illusion motifs.
However, the rest of Lily's outfit left a lot to be desired, as she pranced around the stage drinking and dancing in the less than classy looking outfit.

Meanwhile, Lily has said that despite previously declaring she is not planning to release another album, she is not leaving music behind – but working on setting up her own record label.
The singer told BBC 6music that she was 'in talks' about setting up her own imprint, and suggested her work in the music industry may develop into a more behind-the-scenes role, rather than as a singer.
'I'm not retiring from music,' she said.
'I might retire from singing for a bit. I feel like maybe having a bit of a break from doing that and do something else for a while.'

She added: 'I love working in music. I like to help other bands so I'm thinking about – well, we're in talks about – setting up my own label and dedicating the next couple of years to that.'
The BBC has confirmed the singer will be a guest on show Strictly Come Dancing. In a coup for the show which has been hammered in the ratings, former X Factor devotee Lily has agreed to perform on the BBC1 ballroom series.
It is hoped a star line-up,which includes Rod Stewart and Mariah Carey, will improve ratings against ITV1's X Factor, which averaged 11.6 million viewers (13.5million peak) against Strictly's 8.4 million (9.7million) on Saturday.
BBC source said: 'Lily was wanted by both shows so we're delighted.'
