I have really grown on Lindsay, I didn't really get her before the shows started but when they did I really started to get her appeal. I thought she really suited the hair and make-up at Prada, especially the red lips
I'm pretty sure I was sold then.

I think all the skepticism around her look is a something that will eventually make her big (or atleast I hope so). A friend pointed out to me that most of the models that make it big, have lots of critics or people that need convincing at the beginning of their career. I hope this holds true for Lindsay.

I see what Shelton123 is saying about the Taylor Swift resemblance.. it's not really obvious, but they both have the sort of pretty 'mushed' up face

Personally, I believe the only reason she's getting hype and, subsequently, people are warming to her, is that she was at Prada and Miu Miu. If Lindsay had booked small, no-name shows, nobody would like her.

I read in other threads about people calling other models ugly (Jamie Bochert et al.) and in some cases I admit that they aren't 'pretty' per say, though they have the face that would look great in editorials and make-up. Though I can't say that about Lindsay, she doesn't - to me - appear photogenic at all, and I would hate for her to become big just because Miuccia said it should be so. Please, be original.

Well you really think nobody? I started this thread upon polas on COACD (so she must have been noticed if she was posted on COACD), and there were posts in this thread so I think ppl still were interested in her b/f the Meisel rumour. Definitely she wouldn't be as popular without the Meisel hype and Marsh/Miuccia effect, but you can say that about a lot of girls no? Would Coco Rocha be where she is without the un-ending support of the photographers/casting directors who supported her early in her career? I agree with the person who said she is very polarizing, people love her or hate her look, I think it works to her favour in the end.. people talk about her.

But if you simply do not like her look, that is definitely valid

^ I agree Charlotte, i can only speak for myself but i think Lindsay has an interesting look.. something that makes you pay attention and figure out what you think about it. i started out thinking her look was a gimmick and all hype.. but the more I looked, the more i thought she was interesting and i was curious to see her on the runway too (i thought she did really well).

i don't follow models much but a new look is always interesting.. just like when gemma ward and all those 'alien' looking girls suddenly appeared on the scene. It's just something fresh and interesting in an industry with a lot of 'pretty' faces. i personally don't take any cues from Miuccia prada or Steven Meisel as to what faces i'm interested in.. so even if it's only me, i think Lindsey would be interesting to me as a model even if she never worked with either of them.

yeeeaah i think almost every model who's at the top right now got there because they wwere supported by 1 or 2 big names in fashion... which i kind of disagree with, because each model should be their own individual and create their careers on their own, but i guess thats just the herd mentality of society today
either way, i like lindsay because shes interesting, a truly unique face

I almost like her... in some pictures she's lovely and in others, the mouth area is just too much for me. I think I'd like her more if she had either the gap or the baby-doll mouth.
