After Richard Chai SS 2012… 2012 has been the year of Lindsey Wixson!!!

The 18-year-old American teenager from Wichita, Kansas comes from a normal family of working parents. Her father installs satellite dishes, and her mother is a school bus driver. After facing rejections from many agencies because it was believed that her unique looks would not translate well on the runways, she signed with Marilyn Agency in New York at age 15. She debuted on the catwalk during New York Fashion Week walking small shows. However, things changed when she met the designer Miuccia Prada. That season, Lindsey exclusively booked the Prada Spring 2010 show in Milan, in which she opened, and the Miu Miu Spring 2010 in Paris, in which she closed. She then went on to book the Miu Miu campaign. Three years later, Lindsey’s career is still going strong. She is a muse and favorite of Terry Richardson. And now, she has added the Chanel Fall 2012 campaign to her expanding resume. In fact, designer Karl Lagerfeld loves her so much that he made Lindsey his Chanel bride. She closed the Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2012 show a few weeks ago.

Talk about the American dream! Lindsey’s career gives meaning to the idea that “Anything, and everything, is possible!”
